I have been using their service since 2019. I never signed a contract and they negligently continued servicing the tank on my property. This winter my furnace died and they tried to charge me 160 dollars based on a contract I never signed as well as a 20% restocking fee I never agreed too after they threatened to take the tank back that was never under contract. They should have never been servicing my tank without signed consent and want me to pay the fees for the usage even though I was never under contract. Negligent business practices. Rude and insulting management.

    Complaint: 19347595

I am rejecting this response because: Gas Production Co. Over filled my propane tank by 200 gallons. I ordered 200 gallons and they filled my tank with 400 gallons. Now not only they want me to pay for gas I didn't order they also told me to pay a 150 dollar fine for not meeting the minimum gas order. I would like for gas Production to take back the propane I didn't order and when I use all the propane I did order they are more than welcome to pick up there tank. This is gouging. When propane is the most expensive they over filled my tank buy 200 gallons. I do not fill this was done by mistake.

    Sincerely,

    Dear ******************,

On January 31, 2023, you ordered 200 gallons of propane to be delivered to your location.  February 1, 2023, our driver mistakenly delivered ***** gallons instead of the requested 200 gallons.  After our driver informed us of his mistake, we contacted you to discuss the issue.  We informed you during this discussion that it is against our company and our insurance company's policies to pump out tanks at customers residences.  As for the "$150 fine", we have not charged you at this time.  We were referring to the Equipment Utilization Fee that you have paid every year since 2019.  We offered to waive this fee in 2023 if you were willing to work with us.

We offered the following alternatives to deal with the overage:

    1) We request that you provide payment arrangements for the remaining ***** gallons of fuel.  We will accept whatever time frame that you need.

    2)  We wait until you have used the gas that you have paid for and either a) bill you for the remaining fuel at the market price at that time or b) remove the tank.

    3)  We remove the tank and credit you for whatever gas is remaining.

Options 2 & 3 assume that we can access the tank with our boom truck.  In addition, we will not charge the normal labor and restocking fees that would normally be charged when we pick up our equipment.

Rest assured, this was a mistake on our driver's part and not done intentionally.  As a token of good faith, we will apply a $50 credit to your account due to the inconvenience this has caused you.

If you would like to discuss the matter further, please contact our office.

    Sincerely,

    Gas Production Company, Inc.
