    hello. ive had my (first) mortgage with this company for three and a half years. about a year ago i filed for bankruptcy. i did not include the mortgage. because of my bankruptcy, the banks policy bans me from making an online or automated payment so i have to call in. the company has been understaffed due to the pandemic which is understandable, but it means that i am not always able to pay my mortgage on time because they dont have anyone to take my call. thats unacceptable as my credit can be impacted by a late payment and i have no control over their staffing.

    This company refuses to apply my payments correctly! I have filed 2 complaints with the ************************* and the next stop is getting a consumer attorney per the ***** My first payment with this company came due on December 1st of 2022. I paid it in full and it was credited to my account on November 30th. I then set up weekly payments starting the first week in December so that by the time ******* 2023 was due, the money would be in the suspense account and ******* would be paid. I did these auto weekly deductions EVERY week like this so that I would never have to worry about my mortgage getting paid. I paid extra money each week to be applied to principle and filled out the form that they provided indicating the amount that was to be credited to the account and the amount that should go towards principle. On *** 12th (just 6 months into the loan and on August 11th and December 15th this mortgage company took my weekly payments and applied them strictly to principle - messing up my payment schedule! The months we had extra weeks in 2023 was not even applied to principle and I had no idea. I only found out that they messed this account up when we decided to stop one weekly deduction in December for Christmas (Since we had an extra week in that month) It was then that I was told we we owed *******, even though they got 4 weeks worth of payments in December for the following month (*******) payment. They try to blame it on a couple of reversals we had but the reversal did not take place until September (and it was paid) - while the misapplied payments were done starting 6 months into the loan, in the month of ***! I was credited for December and was told that they couldn't credit me for *** and August because they closed the books out and they have investors. They expect me and my family to struggle to catch ** when we have paid in a total of 52 weekly payments and 1 monthly payment in the beginning of this loan.
