My child started at Little Steps in September. Since then we've encountered a few weird situations, last week we were told upon arrival to pick up my son that he had diarrhea and had a small diaper rash. Once home and able to check change him, it was obvious that he had sat in a soiled diaper for quite a long time. He was blistered and red. The owner/directer ****** was also the only teacher the entire day, there were over 10 kids in the building when my son was picked up. We were told it was a one time issue never again would it happen. Today upon arrival I could hear children crying from the outside door. I rang the buzzer and could see into the facility, while waiting witnessed ***** the lead teacher open the door to the room where about 10 children were left unattended. Once inside ****** the other worker, came around the corner from the same direction ***** did. I was told a child had an accident and ****** was changing the diaper, however there was no child following or returned to the room. ***** had zero reason or excuse for leaving the children in their room unattended. The facility does have baby gates up so to have the door closed too is not necessary if you need to step out momentarily in an emergent situation. I did report the negligence to the *** as leaving children in a room unattended or being understaffed is illegal. I would not give one star, but you have to to leave a review.
