Michigan Recovery Services answer to complaint:
The complaint is not an accurate statement by the consumer to what occurred.
The consumer bid on 2 vehicles on the auction references.
The one referring to in the complaint the consumer was not expected to purchase due to a counter from lien holder being higher than what the consumer was willing to pay for the unit.
The 2nd unit the consumer bid was actually the highest bid and was accepted by the lien holder without any counter.  After contacting the consumer on winning the bid and the process of coming into pay the for the unit, the consumer didn't come into pay for unit as agreed within in the terms and conditions on the auction site.  These terms are outlined in the Term Section of the agreement.
Due to default on terms on 2nd unit won by consumer, was why the consumer was banned from further auction privileges with Michigan Recovery Services.
Please let me know if you need any additional information .
    Thank you

Trying to retrieve my vehicle and they will not give me an amount or tell me what their fees are so I can get the money together. I should at least know their fees even it they wont give me an exact total before my check clears with the bank.

    Business Response

    Good Morning,

It is our policy that Michigan Recovery Services does not provide total fees to redeem vehicle until all release documentation is received from the lien holder.  Fee changes daily due to storage so quoting without a release would not be accurate.

Once the lien holder has uploaded a redemption release we set an appt to redeem and provide fees to release.

    Thank you,

    Michigan Recovery Services

This company is so full of c*** They came to repo my car at 330 am. I called the bank and paid them what was owed at 8am. I have been unable to get my car back. The employees are getting smart with me and not giving me any type of answers. They are lying talking about they will call me back. I feel like they are discriminating against me. They lie about car being at a secure spot and have to wait to transfer to a lot for pick up but why is it taking 2 days to do it. Now they wanna charge storage fees and keep my car. The bank should not be doing business with this scam company who dont know how to properly communicate with customers. I paid the bank and I want my car NOW. Smh. Never heard of not being able to not pick up my car. Even the bank employees said they never heard of this happening and I should be able to get my car. This is so frustrating and unnecessary.

We secured this unit on 5/9 and we delivered back to the debtor on 5/11, which was a Saturday and not normally a day of business for this service.

I feel that Michigan Recovery Services accommodated this debtor the best we could.

Also the thread of emails from BBB it states we have 30 days to respond.  This unit was secured 5/9.

Please advise if able to respond to remove complaint.

My car was repossessed on Friday morning. I paid it and the bank released it at 4 on Friday. I called today to get my car back and was told to call back at different times and that they would call me back. I finally talked to someone again just a bit ago and she said the driver had taken my car to his home instead of the secured lot and that he has my number and will call me when his day gets started. I asked when that would be and she said she didnt know what to tell me and she wasnt going to argue with me.

I didn't get a letter from the bank the car was pull illegally. Since the car was repo i paid the bill with the bank and now it is time for the repo company to give my husband car back they tell me I have a bill with the amount of $820.00 I ask them to email me a break down of the fees. The lady said she don't do that, then she goes and tell me they only accept CASH no money order, personal check, credit cards and cashier checks. So, I am left what is wrong with this picture Check and balance is not happen you can't trace cash. This company is doing illegal actions and not trying to helping or work with the people to get there vehicle back.
