    My name is ******************* and I am the owner of Web3Rivers, LLC in **********, ************ and I provide web design and development services. I have been employed by ********************* (owner ***************************) in *********, **, to redesign their website because of issues with their current provider, Market Grid.07/19/23: We notify Market Grid of the intention to migrate the goodfellasdrafthouse.com website to a new provider (me) and ask for the domain to be transferred to **** as per the agreement with Market Grid and the company that they acquired (YAC/YourAreaCode.com). They explain that **** has a contract and has to pay nearly $1,000 to get his domain transferred 8/10/23: **** pays the fee around this date.8/16/23: MG acknowledges payment and asks for account to transfer domain.9/19/23: After a month of back-and-forth, many offers to assist them, MG says that they lost the registration to my client's account, which they contractually have to register and transfer to him (after he paid for it).9/26/23: MG confirms again that they do not own the registration for the domain, suggest, but do not offer a refund.9/27/23: Last contact from MG executive team, say they are working to purchase domain from new owners.- GFDH requests a permanent redirect to a newly-purchased domain. No response, not completed.- A DNS update to prove ownership of the goodfellasdrafthours.com domain to ****** requested. No response from MG. Not completed.9/28/23: We report to MG that the existing website is taking 1-2 minutes to load, or never loads and appears to be "down" for most visitors. No response.10/6/23: Support agent (not included in prior conversations) from MG contacts *** and GFDH to offer to help on slow-loading website EIGHT DAYS later.- Final opportunity given to MG to provide a plan to fulfill contractual obligation and sale of good to transfer GFDH's domain. No response.10/9/23: Complaint filed with BBB.

    I have only recently taken over this account and I can't say I'm surprised. The previous manager seemed to be pretty terrible, putting it mildly. I would be happy to comply with the users request but I have no record of that domain in any of our accounts. Again, all I can say is that this is completely unacceptable and going forward will never be tolerated again.

    Started my contract on February 2017. I pay $150 a month.Market grids commitment to me is to provide a marketing platform and website.I want to cancel my service with them so I can take over my domain and create a new website. I am going to pay the 50% of the remaining contract as stated in my contract with them. My contract ends in February and making it a $450 total, 50% of that is $225.They are stating it was $500 to cancel the contract. I responded asking where they came up with the $500 and have gotten no response cents. *** sent five emails and left multiple messages by phone since November 2 and I continue to get no response. This is an automatically renew in contract, so it needs to be done and terminated in a timely fashion. I just want to get my domain so I can get it up and running for my business since their company has had many issues providing me with a 100% working website. I have customers complaining they cannot get to my menus and information on my website.

    I can't speak to the business practices in place at the time of this complaint, but for what's it's worth, the company is now under new management and nothing like this will happen while I am in charge. We're going through our old client records and trying to make sure they're all taken care of regardless of the situation they were in. if this was more recent I would be taking care of this asap, but given the time since the complaint, I'm not sure what I can do about it.
