*************** plumbing in **** repaired pipes in ********** using a Shark Bite joint. Years later, it failed and caused over $4000 damage to drywall and insulation. I had them fix the joint. This time they used a solder joint. Interesting. They refused to give me even a ***** off their bill for the fix. I had a $26 coupon from the last time they did work for me (WAS a loyal customer). Thats all they took off the bill

Hi *****, as weve mentioned in the other negative review you posted, your complaint is that we didnt offer financial compensation for an issue that reoccurred 9 years later. There are multiple reasons, outside of our control, that can cause a shark bite fitting, which is an approved fitting, to fail nine years later. Again, it is important to note that these pipes are located above your garage. Over the course of 9 years, there are a number of factors that can affect the plumbing in your house, such as freezing temperatures, proper insulation, and the integrity of the pipes. We cannot be held responsible for the temperature that you maintain in your home, the weather in ******** over the last decade, or the methods you may or may not have used to insulate your garage. While we understand that it is frustrating to have to deal with this problem again, you chose to call our company out for repair and you verbally agreed to the cost to have the issue fixed. It was only after the work was completed that you had gone back on your word and told us you were not going to pay for the work.As stated in response to your other reviews, had this occurred within 1 year of the initial service call, which was nine years ago, we absolutely would have returned to your home, free of charge, to correct the issue. Even if this had been within two years, we probably wouldve given some financial consideration. It cannot be expected that a near decade of weather, wear, and tear later, that we would assume financial responsibility for this issue. While we are sorry that you feel so strongly against our company, we appreciate that you have trusted our service for many years. We wish you the best with your future service needs.

We used *************** Plumbing for one plumbing visit that had multiple jobs. It was a total disaster. When the plumber arrived, he said he was not aware of the various items on the repair list even though we had a quote provided to us and we agreed to have the services completed. When the plumber completed one job, he asked me if it was acceptable to have a 1/2" gap to the wall for the shower cover plate. That was 100% unacceptable. No good plumber would want to fill a gap to the wall that is 1/2" thick. I said no and he then did the right thing and cut the pipe down. Next, he caulked around it with a caulk color that did not match or even come close to what was caulked in other locations. He did not even ask if that was acceptable BEFORE he did it. On the third plumbing job, he took the old plumbing, which was still good and put it in his truck. I noticed and asked for it back. He asked why I wanted it back. I felt completely violated by that question - it is my part and I have a right to keep it. I felt he had other plans for it? Finally, he refused to do other work because he said he was never made aware of the long list. I called the office and they were extremely nasty and mean to me when I explained the several issues I had with this plumber. The office lady, supposedly the manager, hung up on me. They have the worst customer service and I will never use them again. Buyer Beware!

It is difficult to respond and grow from this claim due to the length of time that has passed. The work done at Ms. ***** home was nearly 4 and half years ago. Before we get into the details, it is important to note that the employees ************ references in her review are no longer with our company. ************ complains about a few things. Her first complaint is that she thought it was unacceptable to have a 1/2 gap between her shower cover plate and the wall. We arent sure why this is worth mentioning since ************** asked her if she would like it changed and, in her words, says ************** did the right thing and corrected it. We will assume fault that the technician should have attempted to match the caulk or at least made ************ aware that he did not have a color that matched. Her next complaint is one we do not agree with. Her assumption that we had other plans for an old plumbing part is purely that, an assumption. To claim she felt "violated" is incredibly defamatory and has serious legal implications. In our 65 years in business, more often than not, customers do not choose to keep their old plumbing parts. Her third complaint is that ************** refused to do all the work. Our goal is to complete all planned work and if time permits, any additional work customers may need. At which time, the technician could have offered ************ a later date to complete the additional work. With this being four and a half years ago, it is hard to give an exact reason as to why our schedule did not allow for additional time.Leaving a negative review about a company four years and a half years after service and after a global pandemic which has caused our company, as well as many others, to restructure, speaks more to the character of the customer than it does to our 65 year old business. We take every negative review as a learning experience, however, it seems that posting a review four and a half years later is not to inform the public and help us grow but to attack our business.

I stand by every comment I have made regarding the work *************** Plumbing was hired to complete at our house. I am happy to hear the employee in question is no longer employed at that company. I still have not received a formal apology from *************** Plumbing for the immense pain and agitation I received on the phone when I called their office to express my concerns about the workmanship and sequence of events that occurred at my home. I have never written a negative review on BBB for any company - and we have hired hundreds of companies over the years. My neighbors have also expressed concern with *************** Plumbing repairs and will not hire them for any work as well. I hope to keep hiring companies that are reputable and so far I have found a wonderful plumber for our plumbing needs.
