    I booked 2 rooms at this hotel and found multiple health concerns. The pool has stagnant water, the jacuzzi tub is dirty with algae and scum. Neither the pool or Jacuzzi have any of the required chemicals to maintain the *** The toilet in the pool room is loose and coming off the floor.

    I apologize for the dissatisfaction associated with your
    stay at the Clarion Hotel Beachfront in Mackinaw City, MI. It is our goal to
    provide each guest with the most accommodative experience possible. When you
    notified the front desk of the hotel about the issue with the pool area, they
    did inform the maintenance staff immediately. 
    At that time the maintenance staff rectified any issues, and the front
    desk informed you of the free access to the multiple pools and waterparks every
    guest receives when they stay with our property.  There are 2 different pools and splash park
    all within 300ft of the Clarion Pool.  At
    that time, you stated that you did not want to go any other pool.  Again, we are sorry for your dissatisfaction, but
    you were provided with multiple solutions. 
    I hope you accept this resolution so we may provide you with an exceptional stay in the future.

    ******************* not try to find a more suitable solution for me. I felt bullied throughout the 2 1/2 hour process. Ive stayed at the Clarion before and really liked it. I do believe I deserve a two night stay due to the time and effort I put in trying to get the information and all along. She knew all she had to do is cancel it and have me put a new request in for the reservation.

    I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies.  When you booked your reservation through the 3rd party site you chose the option to pay directly to the property.  When paying directly at the property, it is our responsibility to make sure you have a valid card that matches the id to the person trying to use the card.  This is the requirement we have by the credit card companies to accept credit cards.  There is a lot of fraud in this world, and we all must do our part to make sure it is not happening.  Our credit card processor will not accept a signature on a card that is not present to enter our credit card machine.  Again, I am sorry, but we cannot accept a credit card that is not present and that does not match the id of the person trying to use it.
