A very sketchy man arrive to my house after I made the appointment. He brought in a machine and proceeded to show me pictures of how dirty my vents are then he started acting very strangely. Taking pictures of my house my air conditioner upstairs stopped working after he messed with it for about 10 minutes. He was taking pictures of my dogs and my childrens rooms so I figured out pretty quickly that this was a scam. I asked the cleaner to leave And on his way out, he decided to steal my credit card that was sitting on the counter and charge me for $2100 worth of work that never happened. In addition to Citibank being absolutely worthless with this fraud charge he broke my air conditioner, and whenever I tried calling , no one ever picked up. There was never a card or any contact information and the pictures that he took turned out to be stock Internet photos. So waiting on Citibank to resolve the issue so hopefully I can get my money back, but this business should be shut down .Initial Complaint

This guy came out to clean air ducts. Claimed we had black mold and the ****** initial fee was now *******. He used a shop vac to vacuum out the vents and sprayed a cleaner to get rid of all black mold. All he had were 2 dirty filters to show for what he got out of the vents and air ducts. Who knows they could have been dirty before our house. On September 6th this company came to my house and was suppose to provide air duct cleaning and chimney cleaning. I had my mother let them in and didn't think she had to watch over them to make sure they did what they were requested to do. The company also states they check your dryer duct in which they definitely did not do. I sent them and email with my concern after I finally got the invoice 2 weeks after service and after calling all the techs I was in contact with. I have not once heard from the office. Before the tech left I let him know they weren't cleaned as I took the grate off and blew loose dust. I paid so they would leave my property, or I would not have because services were not rendered!! I have cleaned my ducts as far as I can with my personal vacuum which is nothing compared to what they advertised. It seems the company is more worried about upsell than doing the job of what the customer asked and is paying for. When I sent pictures and videos they stated I needed a "deep clean" of my ducts. Which is potentially possible but the machine they advertise is suppose to **** out any and all loose dust, even stuck dust which did not happen as the photos show. These are indeed photos of the ducts after they left, which clear as day you can see loose dust that they swear they took care of. I am very upset for paying so much money and having to take a weekend of my own to clean these ducts only as far as my vacuum can reach. No one has tried to make this right. Only tried to make more money which I will not pay more money when they couldn't do the services asked for the first time. This is very frustrating that they're not trying to make anything right weeks after when I've contacted daily. They also stated it would cost $449 then upon completion said an additional $27 for tax, include that when someone is asking the price!! Don't say it's going to be $449!Initial Complaint

On Aug 29 I was texting with a chimney repair business I thought was based in Lebannon OR. All conversation was via text. After a bit of discussion, I made an appointment for them to come clean my chimney. They came on Sept 13. They inspected and determined my chimney was in need of repair. I also wanted a top put on to prevent birds from nesting. The leader checked with someone and quoted $3450. Much more than I expected, but I agreed. Two of the men left for shopping while the other began cleaning my fireplace. When they returned work was done and I was satisfied. I handed him my **** and he again said $3450 and ran the card. When I got my receipt via email, the charge was $*******. I replied to the email, texted the original number and found the website of the company represented on thereceipt to question the amount. I have received no replies to any. I again sent note and said if I heard nothing by the 28th I would get in touch with the BBB. I also let them know I was disputing the charge with my ****. Still no reply. I know the text number is still working as my friend sent them a text and had a reply asking what could they help her with. She mentioned my issue, and hasn't heard back from them at all. The company was found through a local *********************** listing with ********************* as the one posting it as a new business he was starting. The receipt was from American Air Mavericks based in MI. The shirts the crew wore also said American Air Mavericks. The ad never mentioned them. Also, I can see no CCB# on the ad or the receipt or the site for the company. Here is a copy of my receipt. Hello, this business performed a duct cleaning service at my home. They were to do a quality service which will include the cleaning of the supply vent of the house through the main line and **** all the loss dust from the whole entire system, along with fully inspecting the ** / furnace and Dryer as well, to make sure there is no mold or any other issues with the system. They came on August 24th to conduct the service. When they came the technician took pictures, hooked up the machine, turned in on then off, said he was unable to do the service, charge us for the service that was never performed, and left. I called many times and have gotten the run around and the manager was supposed to call but never did. Now I am blocked from calling them when I try to contact them. I have requested for them to either give me a refund or complete the service but communication has been non existent on their end. On 6/15/23 we answered an ad claiming to clean air ducts for $199. A man came in an unmarked vehicle, brought in a huge machine, and proceeded to check the vents. His shirt said "Air Duct Cleaning." He showed us a vent with what he said was mold and recommended a ** light to keep the mold from recurring. He stated there would be extra charge for mold treatment (don't remember the exact figure) and a 3yr. warranty on the ** light. When he finished, he showed us an invoice on his phone for $1933.65 and said he would send an email with the breakdown. Reluctantly, I paid with my BOA credit card (on which I have placed a complaint that the bank is researching). That complaint shows the name 24 7 AD Cleaning. A website search of that name yielded nothing. The email had the company name American Air Mavericks in *********. ** with a phone # ************. Messages to that number were unreturned and my iphone lists the call as coming from ************* **. The BBB website lists their phone # as ************. Voicemails to that number did not state a company name and messages went unreturned. Their website has a contact # of ************. Messages went unreturned. So my complaint to BBB, aside from being overcharged and not knowing if the work was done correctly, is that I have not received contact, cannot make contact, and cannot enforce the 3yr. warranty on the ** light as stated on the invoice. I am asking for a refund of $550 for the ** light and full disclosure of this company and its practices.Initial Complaint

Date of service: July 16, 2022.A fellow neighbor posted to our neighborhood ******** page that he found a company to perform the following g services, and that we could get a group rate if several neighbors signed up too. For our home, with 2 HVAC systems, it would cost $349.*Supply Vents cleaning services.*Air Ducts cleaning services. *Inspection of Dryer Vent. *Inspection of intake vents. *Inspection of Coil And Blower Motor.He set up the appointment for the company to come out so I never spoke with anyone until they called on Sunday, July 16th at 8:00am stating that a technician would arrive at 9:10am.When the two technicians arrived *********** brother), they hooked up the negative air machine and went upstairs where we thought they were cleaning the vents for our other unit. Then they took the negative air machine upstairs and hooked it up for 20 minutes. Then we were told that was basically all they would do, but we could have CLEANING performed for almost $3,000. The entire time they were here, **** tried to sell us on various things we thought were already included in what we were paying for. They left our house in shambles, left both AC units off, dirt all over the place, air returns not closed, etc. We did not receive the services we were told we were getting, and would like a refund. On March 13, 2023 I had HVAC cleaning service performed. American Air Mavericks installed a black light into my HVAC system. This installation was not wired correctly therefore the wire nut melted causing electrical sparks to occur. This could have caused a fire had no one been home. But since my unit stopped working and we were home to investigate the cause, fire was prevented and now my unit is not out of service due to this companies wiring. I have tried multiple times over 2 days to contact company and have had no response. I want my HVAC system rewired and the damage to my system to be reimbursed immediately. This company came out on 06/22/23 to do a $199 special duct cleaning. Within 15 minutes they told me I have black mold and the cost was significantly more (2,500$)They said they would only be in the area today,so I had to decide on the spot.Then they said they couldnt accept my check and that the credit card app wasnt working properlythey wanted me to go to the bank and get cash.I called my local company,who told me they couldnt possibly tell without testing that it was black mold and that they dont even treat for that because its something that requires a specialty company to identify and remove black mold.I paid them the $199 and sent them on their way.Initial Complaint

On May 28 2023 I had a 6 month folllow up from an October 6 2022 cleaning. This cleaning was to be no charge as it was part of the package when we purchased an almost 3K black light system installed by Air Duct Cleaners (invoiced as Air Mavericks) in October of 2022. The techs argued with me that their company did not install our system and. Since They "couldn't verify" it was them I provided them with the date, time, and techs phone number. They called the office and came back and said ok no charge it was us who installed. Then they finished up and said ok $250 when previously they wanted $500 because now they said they couldnt verify this was a part of the package and they (the techs) said we still needed to pay. I said NO WAY and they kept insisting another company installed our system when it was 100% them and we were able to prove it....I attempted to call the company on the number given to me by the owner/boss (****) and it wasn't a working number to a person or a business. I could only press 1 to book travel 2 to schedule pest service 3 to schedule lawn care 4 for erectile dysfunction or 5 for a list of lawyers in the area I attempted to contact the boss/owner via FB shortly after she messaged asking if the techs had arrived but she did not respond to my message, FB Call, or second message. I attempted to give them a chance to rectify this and make sure it wasn't a miscommunication on their techs part but they have not communicated at all. The company lied to us after we purchased their almost 3K system. We payed them because we did not want any issues and the techs refused to leave our house until we paid and saying they dropped the cost from $500 to $249. We would have never purchased the black light system from them if the cleanings were not included in the purchase price as discussed prior to our purchase. This company lied to us and it is very unprofessional how we were treated. We would like a refund of since this cleaning was part of the purchase.
