1 starTerrible. Tried to open 1 claim and was fought all year. I was told by 2 people at their company that the issue was covered. Then later I was told it was not covered. Never got a straight answer out of them once, and they ignored my claim, despite constantly following up, until my coverage was up. Complete waste of money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

Hello ****, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Our warranty contract provides assistance for specific breakdowns due to normal wear and tear. However, it does not cover everything, nor does it guarantee full reimbursement in all cases. I’ve reviewed your plumbing claims. On January 3, 2025, we informed you that we couldn’t assist with the main water shutoff valve inside the home, as it was not functioning properly at the time your warranty began. We also discussed the approved amount for the repair/replacement of the streetside water shutoff valve and requested that you call us after the work was completed so we could issue payment directly to your contractor. Unfortunately, we never received that call. Additionally, the freeze kit is not covered under your plan, and per the terms of the contract, we will not pay for any additional costs or related expenses which may be required to complete repairs Once the approved repair is completed, please contact us so we can proceed with reimbursement or direct payment to your contractor. However, it doesn't cover all items or necessarily the full cost of repair or replacement. In cases where a manufacturer’s warranty is still active, such as with your heat pump, we’re unable to process the claim under our plan. 5 starsI can't say enough about ******** *. She was extremely helpful and caring in helping me navigate what the best course of action was to do about the companies policies. Now personally I may have plenty of issues with the company and their policies but I can't say enough good words about the time and attention that ******** *. put towards my case. 1 starIt's always an excuse with these people. Don't waste your money. They deny payment, nickle and dime repairs, and leave you with a bad taste in your mouth when the repair cost is $975. Upon reviewing your claim, we did cover the cost of the replacement of the Schrader valve as well as the service call fee. 1 starThis company that i was referred to by my real-estate agent. Was unbelievable in what I was offered my furnace stopped working after three months of moving in. I had it inspected prior to closing and was told it had issues but could get 1 to 2 years before it would need to be replaced. Had two companies to give me estimates both came in around $13,000. Both companies said and told America's Preferred that this cannot be repaired and needs to be totally replaced. We'll America's Preferred gave me $745.00 toward the $13,000 what a joke and a insult.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

1 starScam, I would avoid. Sump pump went out, water flooded into my home. Had a contractor out and called to start the claim. Original claim was denied because there was rain water in the pit of the sump pump ????. Keep in mind, I was not requesting coverage for water damage just the pump. Called again, after service was completed and paid out of pocket because I got to thinking, wtf, thats the pumps purpose. So, they decided they would revisit the claim. Attempted to call the contractor to get a detailed determination of the failure. Of course they wont call back, they got their money. I dont blame them. So, I emailed the paperwork with the details I received from the contractor. They said it wasnt readable. So I said, the contractor never did determinate the issue, but suspected the unit was old. Claim denied as there has to be a cause of failure determined. Just kept finding ways to deny my claim. Ive decided to drop them. Normally dont leave reviews, but I want to help others to avoid this company.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

1 starConsumers BEWARE!!! I wish I could leave a review for less than 1 star. This company will go out of their way to try and not pay for necessary repairs. Bought a house 8 months ago, got the APHW warranty, now my AC system is completely shot, looking at a $12,000+ bill, and APHW has offered to cover close to $1,700... The main failure part is one of the parts covered in their warranty, but due to that part failure, the system became saturated and is now blowing mold through our entire house... So they will cover the part replacement, but not cover the damage done by the failed part? Supposedly it is up to APHW discretion as to how much they offer depending on the life of the system? That makes total sense. Spoken with representative and supervisor, and both were little to no help. When asked what the purpose of purchasing their warranty if they are not going to cover the cost is, neither of them could give an answer, but instead directed me to read the special conditions of the contract. 1 starSharing this to hopefully deter people from falling for the same scam we did. The warranty covers nothing. They will make you jump through hoop after hoop and will still deny the claim for what little the warranty does cover. I highly recommend the BBB investigate this company as it appears to be a scam.
