***** installed a new boiler system for a cost that exceeded $13,000. It was a 2 day install and required re-piping the new system. When I arrived home from work I discovered a gapping hole in the side of my home where the previous vent pipe had been. I could look into my home from the outside. I live in the boonies with LOTS of wildlife that could easily access the hole in search of a warmer, dryer place. Also all the previous holes where piping went into my crawl space were open and an invitation for rodents and other small animals. When I brought this to the attention of the install crew, they said "oops, we forgot". They did not forget. They had to walk past the large hole in my home to get to their work vehicle. It wasn't an oversight, it was laziness pure and simple.Four days later, I came home to a strong odor of gas in my home. I called the local gas utility and they were able to dispatch a service technician. Upon inspection the technician determined that there was a severe gas leak at one of the fittings and they had to padlock my gas meter in December with subzero temperatures. ***** was called and they dispatched a technician to repair the leak. However, he also discovered that a valve was not wired properly. Another technician was sent out 2 days later to fix this. The city inspector found 2 issues with the installation that required fixing In summary the installation of a $13,000+ boiler had the following issues:* Gapping holes in the side of my home where you could look into my house from the outside * Dangerous installation error that caused a potentially deadly gas leak and required the gas meter to be padlocked until repaired in subzero weather * Valve was wired incorrectly * A valve and venting problem was discovered during inspection Throughout all this management couldn't be bothered to speak to me about these serious errors . Repeated attempts to reach management or the owner to discuss this shoddy work were ignored
