    On November 18, 2024, I entered into a rental agreement drafted solely by Mini Storage Depot Eastern for use of storage unit E14. I was half off rent for 2 months, which was false advertising. I never received 2 full months or half off.The agreement included provisions that required arbitration, waived jury trials and class actions, released the Mini Storage Depot Eastern from liability for its own negligence, and required me to indemnify the Mini Storage Depot Eastern. They also included disclaimers removing all implied warranties, leaving risk of property loss solely on me.On October 17, 2025, I contacted **** ********, at Mini Storage Depot Eastern to negotiate and offered to pay the amount due before the auction was over (11am); **** ******** refused negotiation or redemption. The monthly rent was $135; a balance of approximately $703 developed including late fees. **** ********, at Mini Storage Depot Eastern denied me access to my storage unit and, without lawful notice or court order, sold my property through a secret lien auction for less than market value. He refused to inform me of the amount the auction sale was for as ********* Storage Depot Eastern unlawfully executed a lien sale of my personal property without statutory notice, proper registration, or compliance with the acts procedural *************** stored property was wrongfully seized and sold in violation of state notice and lien statutes, despite compliance with payment terms. Mini Storage Depot Eastern actions and contract terms were oppressive, misleading, and contrary to Michigan consumer protection and contract law.
