On 8/1/2022 Services received by care provider. Labs sent off for diagnosis to NxGen MDx?. Care provider sent a claim through insurance provider and was paid accordingly. Results from labs never received. Billing for services for labs not received until 9/4/2023 from NxGen MDx. NxGen MDx claims submitted to the insurance provider for said lab tests in correspondence received. However, no claim was submitted to date. Insurance provider does not show receipt or EOB confirming. Now well past a timely manner to submit claim for such services due to the fact that the actually billing was not sent or received until 13 months after the original date of service by care provider. Claims that insurance has identified the out of pocket expense even though not possible due to failing submit claim in the first place. Now leaving the full amount that they billed to be paid out of pocket. Company does not submit claims in timely manner to insurance provider nor do they bill patients in a time manner. Not doing so causes financial burden and negates the purpose of paying insurance premiums for health care if claims aren't submitted at all.Business Response

I was seen by my GYN 6/12/23, now 4 months later I am receiving an outrageous bill after a routine medical visit! During my womens health check I mentioned symptoms relating to vaginosis, an extremely common and recurring medical issue amongst many women. My doctor must have sent the culture out to NxGenMDx who has outrageously billed me $555.38! I believe they are over charging patients unknowingly. The charge for Vaginosis alone was $650 and Candida $250. As a female patient WITH insurance this makes it extremely difficult to seek care, and is why many women are going without womens health care because we simply cannot afford to do so!Initial Complaint

I recently received a bill from Nxgen MDx for a test conducted three years ago, and I would like to address this matter. I find the timing of this bill quite perplexing, as I was under the impression that all financial matters related to the test had been resolved. To provide some context, when I initially had the test conducted, I was informed by my insurance provider that it was covered. There were no indications at the time that I would be responsible for any outstanding balances. Therefore, receiving a bill for this test after such a significant period has left me somewhat baffled.I would greatly appreciate some clarification regarding the billing process and why this bill is only being presented to me now, three years later. As a responsible patient, I have always ensured that any outstanding medical expenses are addressed in a timely manner. If I did indeed owe a balance for this test, I would have expected to receive a bill much sooner so that I could address it accordingly.By sending the bill after 3 years, how can I check with my former insurance? Is that the way they try to get extra money from client? They gave me the bill number 2226643.Please help me resolve this problem.Business Response

I went to my OB- I had a lab test done. In the past they would send this lab to ******. A new rep for NxGen had told my doctor they were in network with my insurance and I would not have a bill for my labs. They sent me a bill. A large bill in my opinion, in regards to the test that was done. The doctor spoke with ******* for the company and they were to dismiss the charges. 3 years later, I received a bill from this company and they are stating I owe $150.Initial Complaint

I am lodging a complaint against NxGEN MDx for discriminatory billing practices. I received a bill on 7/31/2023 for services in December 2020, causing financial strain due to over two years of delay. This violates fair practices and legal standards. The extended billing delay unfairly burdens patients, hindering financial responsibility and medical expense planning. This impacts those already financially constrained, limiting access to necessary care. This billing practice contradicts a reasonable statute of limitations, which ensures timely billing for financial planning and provider compensation.I request the following actions:Investigate discriminatory billing by NxGEN MDx Set a reasonable statute of limitations for timely billing.Cap delayed service billing to prevent excessive patient burden.Adjust the bill for December 2020 services fairly, considering the delay.Promptly respond, outlining actions taken to address the issue. To amicably resolve this, I accept $150 as fair compensation due to the undue financial strain caused by the delay. Please respond within 15 days, ensuring a ****************. I reserve rights to further action if needed to protect consumer rights.Initial Complaint

I am writing to file a complaint against NxGen Mdx regarding an unjustifiably high bill I received for the ***** CHRMOML ANEUPLOIDY examination. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue directly with NxGen Mdx, I have encountered unresponsiveness and a lack of resolution. On 3/22/2023, I underwent the ***** CHRMOML ANEUPLOIDY examination sponsored by NxGen Mdx. To my surprise, I was billed $376.63 based on my health insurance rate, which greatly exceeded the expected self-pay rate. I went ahead and paid the bill based on the health insurance rate.Upon discussing the situation with my OB, it became evident that I should not have been charged such a high amount. Subsequently, I contacted NxGen Mdx's billing department to address the discrepancy. They claimed to have sent an email on 3/22, requesting my choice of billing method (health insurance or self-pay). Regrettably, I did not receive this email, leaving me unable to respond within the given timeframe. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction and the need to dispute the bill, NxGen Mdx failed to provide a satisfactory resolution.I kindly request your assistance in mediating this matter. The billing practices employed by NxGen Mdx appear to be unfair and misleading. I humbly ask for the following actions:Mediation between NxGen Mdx and myself to reach a fair and reasonable resolution, including a refund of the price difference based on the self-pay rate I had chosen.I sincerely appreciate your attention and efforts in resolving this dispute. I eagerly await your response and guidance on how to proceed further.Thank you for your assistance.Sincerely Site **Initial Complaint

We used their lab testing 3 times through our OBGYN only after receiving, in writing via email, confirmation that based on our exact insurance policy (we provided them all plan details and policy numbers) and our OBGYN, that each test would have a: "maximum out of pocket expense of $49 per test ordered"This was in early 2021, with all tests completed by May 5, 2021. We then paid them $199 on August 9th, 2021 after doing 3 tests (therefore, overpaying by $52). With everything happening in our lives at that time, we didn't notice the overcharge, but are now focusing on it for reasons that will become clear.Fast forward to early 2023 and we receive a bill for $3,670 out of nowhere. I call to ask about it and they say they need to get an Explanation of Benefits from our insurance company that proves we never received any checks from the insurance company that were meant to then be paid to them. After providing this evidence, they throw our account into collections. That was easily resolved because the collections company was shocked and appalled and removed it from their list after I explained everything. Then we get a revised bill for $250, which causes me to research what we have already paid. That's when I realize our mistake of overpaying back in August of 2021. Turns out they owe ** $52. If they do not pay ** the money (or refund to our credit card), I will issue a charge back on my card.Initial Complaint

NxGen Mdx continues to send me bills for a service I did not consent to, submit or receive. The bill is also filed to a name that has never been my legal name. I do not know how they got my address but they continue to send threatening bills and claims of collections despite never returning my calls, emails or inquires and not responding to my providers inquiries as well.
