      The dispute began with a repair on my 2015 Chevrolet 1500 LT on date 11/02/23. The order number was tag #: 2331. The repair was to make it so that my transmission would not slip from 2nd gear to 4th gear. I was instructed by ****** ******************* to keep the vehicle in 2nd gear while driving which I did do. The vehicle continued to slip from 2nd gear to 4th gear until I returned the vehicle for what I thought would be another reprogramming of the black box (transfer case control module) on Wednesday 03/13/2024. The order number was tag #: 2980. I now quote from the invoice "...ENCODER MOTOR INSPECTED. CONFIRMED CUSTOMERS CONCERN. SCANNED FOR DTCS. FOUND C0321-04 REAR DRIVE MODULE LOCK CIRCUIT, CIRCUIT OPEN TESTED CIRCUIT FOR ENCODER MOTHER, GOOD. ALSO FOUND RANGE POSITION SENSOR CORRODED AROUND TRANSFER CASE. ADVISED ON REPAIR. REPLACED ENCODER MOTOR. PERFORMED LEARN AND CLEARED DTCS. TEST DROVE. CONFIRMED REPAIR. The vehicle still slips from 2nd to 4th gears. While sitting waiting for repair(s) to be finished, I conferred with the customers in the waiting room, a ******** State Trooper and a civilian customer. Both informed me that they would never have another repair performed at Jim Wernig Chevrolet in *******. Both said to me that when they had repairs performed here that they had a situation similar to my own where they would only do an oil and filter change at this dealership. One said he would go to the ***** dealer in Roscommon before he would come here. I do not plan to return either. I lived on a fixed income and support two other families besides myself. I am requesting that a refund of $937.45 be made. My vehicle still slips from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive at any time. I continue to keep the vehicle in 2nd gear. I CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE ANOTHER LOSS OF NEARLY $1000 BY HAVING A REPAIR AT JIM WERNIG CHEVROLET. *****************************
