    La ******** is very unethical when it comes sales. We went in to purchase a car and went in with the understanding that the internet price was where we were going to start are talks with. When the final out the door price was presented to us. It was marked up 1385 dollars and we were told it was for an ADD ON that they decide we needed. We had no say in the matter. I knew this was not the salesman's fault - we were told this was a corporate policy. Five text and a call later a manager told me that I should not be upset about it - I ended the conversation there. We purchased a beautiful Jeep which was a better price at a dealer that cares about building a relationship with a customer.

    In March, 2023, we delivered our car for scheduled servicing prior to a long-distance trip. After several days of trying to contact LaFontaine for an update, and not getting a return call, we went to the dealership. They explained that they were very sorry, but they had forgotten to work on the car. This was terribly disappointing, but since the maintenance was not trip-threatening, and since we had the ********************* Plan, we were willing to reschedule the service after the trip. On the next scheduled repair in June, we again could not get anyone to respond to our requests for an update. A week later, we went again to the dealership to connect with SOMEONE. The service was "done," but not as we requested; they disagreed with the need to replace some components that we had been told by another dealership were necessary (EGR valve, struts and shocks). And we still had to pay the $100 deductible, even though we had not received all of the service we scheduled. I notice that the reviews for this dealership are great for sales, and lousy for service. Add mine to the lousy bin.
