hi, I started a membership with the Barre Code East Lansing. I started the membership online and it was a one month unlimited membership. there was no other information as I was making the membership and paying the money. before one month ended I decided that the exercise is not for me and I didn't want to continue and emailed them to cancel my membership. I was told that their policy was to be informed a month in advanced to sop the auto renewal of the membership- i.e. taking the money from my credit card. I told them that I had no idea that this was a rule and that I was not informed on this, asked that they cancelled my membership, they kept saying that this was their rule. I asked them to send me the doc where I signed and acknowledged this rule. they sent me doc that I had signed before the start of a class t hat was complimentary and that I was told it was a waiver - like a health waiver. that is a time I was not even a member and that is not the time where they took my money.
after all this they are still determined to keep taking my money for another month. and I don't even want to go to this establishment anymore. I know that you probably can't resolve this in the next couple of days but at least other consumers can be informed and dot go thru such regretful experiences.
