Myself and my spouse went on December 1st 2021 to this establishment to look at a black 2008 Impala SS. We checked the car out, did a test drive and decided to purchase the vehicle. We put a down payment of $4,000 on 11/30/21. Returned 12/01/21 paid $1,000, and on 12/15/21 came and paid the remaining $1,000 for a total of $6,000 altogether. I was informed that the car had a 6 month warranty on the transmission. We drove the car home and parked it in the driveway. The car sat there and on 12/30/21 the rear driver side tire had gone flat. We drove to the gas station 3 blocks from the house to put air in the tire and upon returning home noticed a stain in the driveway. It was oil and it was leaking when we looked underneath. Monday 01/03/22 we took the car to ******************************************** to ***********************. The Mechanics name is *** and we informed him of the oil spot and wanted him to check the car out fully to determine what was wrong. He informed us that we could leave the car for a couple days due to his workload and he would call us with the results. On 01/10/22 he called and informed us that there was a crack in the engine block that had been fixed with silicone. He stated that it was cheap quick fix to stop the oil for a little while and then informed us that the engine itself would need to be replaced at $3,500. We then called the Car Shop explained what was going on and asked if there was a warranty on the engine as well and was told they would call us back. They didn't even question anything as if they already knew about the issue when they sold us the car. Their reaction made me further believe what the Mechanic said about them sealing the crack long enough to sale the vehicle especially since Noone called back. I haven't had the car for 30 days only 21 or even had the pleasure of driving the vehicle . I spent $6,000 on this car and was deceived. They sold me a lemon.They gave me the title and receipt but did not state that this was an as is sale at all.
