1 starIf I could leave a lower review, I wouldI am a current Rocket Mortgage customer and decided after getting multiple messages from them about a possible refinance to take them up on their offer and see if we could find a better deal than the one we have now. This was in late June that we started this process and from the beginning, it was a complete mess. After doing the application, providing all the documents they need, waiting endlessly for no reason, It finally seemed like we were getting somewhere and earlier yesterday morning I finally was sent our closing document to acknowledge and get our closing scheduled. This was after multiple back-and-forth on my part asking them what was taking so long, re-providing them with documents that I had already provided them that they seem to have lost or just didnt pay attention to. Yesterday morning we acknowledged the closing documents and were just waiting to hear about when the closing would be scheduled then later on that same day after doing that I get a message saying please download your appraisal, even though this application didnt work out, you could always reapply in the future. I was pretty confused to say the least since I had just heard about closing so I reached out to our contact there and he didnt seem to know what was going on either. Cut to later yesterday evening I get a message from him saying the loan is being denied with really no reason other than income discrepancies. I have no idea what that means, they did not elaborate further, but all I can say is I provided paystubs, my boss signed an income verification form stating my current employment status and that still did not suffice for them. If the loan was going to be denied, then why not just say that a month ago? Why send closing documents and then deny hours later? I cannot stress enough how horrible this experience was! I will be moving my mortgage somewhere else and will never work with them again and advise others to stay away!!!

1 starKeep away. You will end up having to sell your house like I have to, because they deliberately miscalculated escrow with loan origination. My payment went from $1000 to $1400 when they added what they "forgot" with the original loan and payment. They are predatory lenders and should be shut down.Rocket Mortgage

1 starThis company took advantage of my 78 year old father, he is on limited income and has excellent credit. He paid them $500. earnest money to secure a loan, they sent an appraiser to his home and said it's only worth $60,000. and they couldn't do the loan. His house and land are assessed for $175,000. They won't refund his 500. because they said after the fact it was to pay the appraiser. He asked for a copy of the appraisal and they denied to do so. I think this company is a scam for ripping off the elderly.Rocket Mortgage

1 starI recently sold my home in *************, **. I've called the company multiple times or tried too and for some reason they are refusing to send me paperwork confirming that my house has sold. When I try to call, my phone number and account numbers now say not associated with an account. But they are again refusing to send me paperwork and documentation. I believe they are/have fabricated evidence. Since I have had problems with the police refusing to take reports. I sold the house because someone kept breaking in and stealing my stuff. I would go to the police department to report it and when I would get home the items that had been missing would either be there exactly where I said they were before or they would randomly show up over the next week.Sincerely,******** ***** Loyiesta41Rocket Mortgage

1 starI was looking into refinancing and saw an add for Rocket. The initial dealings were fine, super informative and helpful. Once they saw a copy of my current mortgage statement, that's when everything went downhill. The agent I spoke with not only got super pushy and had no respect to boundaries and over-communicating, but he tried to use a scare tactic on me by saying I was at risk of an Escrow Shortage. "If you refinance now, you can avoid this". I did the math, and spoke with another financial institution, and confirmed that I am not headed towards an escrow shortage. When I advised the agent that I was no longer interested, and unsubscribed from texts, he began to call, email me and even emailed my husband would had been REMOVED from the application.I'd recommend going elsewhere, unless you're a fan of lies and spam!Rocket Mortgage

1 starI asked for a loan against my equity to finish my home remodel. They said we can do that and its OK for the appraisal that you are mid-remodel. Paid them $500 non-refundable to initiate the appraisal. The appraiser recommended I complete all the remodel repairs. Rocket Mortgage then said "Yes, you need to complete all the repairs for which you wanted the loan in the first place, before we can give you the loan." Lied to me, salesman pitched me into comfort, then s**** me over.Rocket Mortgage

1 starHorrible experience I was told to not pay mortgage for a month then at the end I was told to pay it and I had a 30 day late payment because of it. Then I got denied my loan because of the 30 day late payment. I asked the person who was helping me multiple times if I had to pay it and was told no I didnt. They said they couldnt do anything about it. So I wasnt able to get my fha loan and now owe 2 payments.Rocket Mortgage
