After having a fire that displaced our family, Scully was recommend. Pat quoted me 1 truck & 2 guys for 180hr. Told him perfect because most of our things were in the garage (more than half didn’t need to be moved). Next morning, 2 trucks & 4 movers were there. They packed EVERYTHING I told them not to. Items caked in drychem…they recontaminated countless belongings. It was such a simple job. “Don’t touch anything in this pile.” They packed almost all of it! Everything was done carelessly. Numerous pieces of furniture were broken, box of electronics was just filled & crushed. Expensive art was thrown into a box; damaged. We had to rent a 20yd dumpster to dispose of everything. On to conversations with Pat Scully. He is by far the most unreasonable and unprofessional business owners. When questioning our invoice & why 2 trucks were sent, there was no talking. He did all the talking & was irate with me because a friend called to discuss it too. Estimate said $3,500 to move into storage then out…charged $3,300 just to move into storage. Astronomical pricing! I plead with Pat that my family couldn’t afford to have his company move us again. He said he’d work out a deal & offered a 1k credit. I told him we couldn’t. He said he’d have his guys move our stuff to the door of his warehouse free of charge as our Christmas gift. Ultimately, we decided to take his 1k credit. He offered to have his guys move our belongings from storage into our garage for $1,800 cash. Come move day, Pat called angry, saying he called his guys back, previous tenants still in the house, & we’d have to pay him to send them back out. We had no idea! I begged him to have his guys put our things in the driveway. He said he couldn’t & was regretting offering a credit; was going to charge us again. Husband called him & said he would move them out himself & questioned the integrity of Pat’s word. He ultimately followed through. Doesn’t care about struggling combat Veterans or their families!Scully Statewide Moving Response

To respond to above statement I find this very dis-heartening. Scully Statewide Moving was contacted for moving as the above customer had a last minute emergency. We were out there within 24 hours of phone call. We ******** sent a 2nd truck as we don't charge if it's not used, but often in situations like this things are not as they always seem. We arrived and sent a packer as some items needed to be packed last minute. The guys loaded the ***** while the packer packed. After this was loaded items kept getting added and added and added. Now we have 2 trucks loaded. No problem whatever the customer needs we do ! Nothing is done without the customer who is the boss tells us to do. We then took it to storage. When it comes time for the bill the customer tells us the last company who already handled this same type of situation has exponged all of her insurance funds. OK no problem we know we are working with a family who has had a rough go. Keep in mind we have been talking daily with the customer and most of the conversation she was crying. We always go above and beyond for all of our customers, but being they were a military family we went above again and gave them a ***** credit. The time comes to deliver the houshold goods and we arrive in the am and the old home owner is still in the residence. We have to pay our guys hourly while they are on the job. We then said ok guys go have breakfast on us while they figure some things out. Keep in mind this is the friday of xmas weekend. We want the customer to be able to be in there house with there family for the holidays. I am really floored that this is even a conversation as we bent over backwards for these customers and didn't make a dime on it.This is just a generalization of what happened and in the meantime I will have each worker write a statement on what they have seen on the jobsite from start to finish.*********,Pat ScullyReview from Elaine W

Not only was the experience bad, but they are now refusing to reimburse us for damages. They were supposed to arrive at 9 am but did not get there until 2:30. This was a corporate move, so we made arrangements ahead of time with Dan that the company would pay for the move. The Friday before the move, AFTER they had our belongings on the trucks, they called to make arrangements for payment from us. The staff then ARGUED with us over the payment while we were already dealing with issues at the storage facility with the team (more on that in a bit). Then, unbeknownst to us, THEY SWITCHED TRUCKS after they loaded it in Michigan. While we understand things break down, the original truck was packed so the front of the load would go to storage & the remainder to the house we were renting. When we then started unpacking, a lampshade was packed with books, crushing the lampshade. They also reused boxes from a previous move & they did not cross off what was on the box so we didn't know what was really in the boxes. They also missed 2 drawers from our kitchen that had be shipped to us. Our deck box was damaged and connectors on the sides broken so the box would no longer stay together. They also damaged a wine armoire when they dropped it twice, & one of those times it was caught on the netting, literally ripping the molding off the top of the unit. The unit was so badly damaged that someone initially tell us it was not repairable. It took us a couple of years to find someone to fix it, & now Scully is refusing to pay, even though we told them at the time it was damaged and send him pictures. When we sent the letter with the photo of the damages, he did not give us a timeline for having to submit for reimbursement, and he also argued that because we later moved it to our new home that someone else may have damaged it. He is also claiming the damage done to a deck box would only be a $90 replacement even though I cannot find a 200-gallon unit anywhere near that price.Review from John L.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone moving in the near future. Dan came to our house for an in home free estimate and was very professional. The movers arrived to my house on time and made it a very easy transition for me. They answered any questions that I had and made me feel confident that all my possessions would be handled with care. I will definitely use them in the future.
