They will ruin your bathroom with low quality work and attack you for complaining. We paid them 1200 dollars to paint one shower and one tub, the tub has missing paint and paint on tge surronding tile all over the handles and paint boogers and cracks, the shower surrond they painted is completly ruined, paint peeling all the way down do not hire detroit bathtub or macomb bathtub they operate under different names probably to avoid their poor reputation

     GENERAL ALLEGATIONS

Plaintiff ****** ********, doing business as Macomb County Bathtubs (hereinafter referred to as Plaintiff), is engaged in tub and tile refinishing for residential and commercial projects throughout the state of *********

On April 21, 2025, Plaintiff entered into a contract with the defendants where as they wanted two bathrooms done, agreed on a price and set a time to do the job.

On or about April 24th 2025 , the plaintiff dispatched to office contractors to the above address, did the job as requested and the plaintiffs signed a completion certificate where they stated they were happy with the work.

Approximately the next day, the homeowner called and said there was a few spots that we needed to address and I sent one of the same workers originally dispatched to the job back to the home to address all the concerns.

Neither of the plaintiffs were there, although their mother let our technician in the home, she became very rude and critical of the work. After they already signed the completion certificate we agreed that we would wet sand the tub, and then see what looks like after

******* is a former employee who cannot show up from work without making excuses as she needs her ********. She needs to go to her parole officer. She needs to go for a home check all of these items. We are willing to work with her for. I will happily pay her what I/O, her role wages when she returns all the equipment that we gave her with the job

I wish there were a zero stars option for this review. *** at Detroit Tubs was unprofessional and did poor work for me. *** set up an appointment to sand and re-glaze 2 tubs for me in an historic building in Detroit. He messed up on the date we set and texted non-stop two nights before our appointment, trying to confirm, and then trying to move the appt. up by 1 day. Once I could confirm that the condo was empty and available for him to proceed, he thanked me, but then did not go. He did not communicate when he would do the job. He did show up late on the second day and demanded payment ($1,000) immediately upon completion, with nobody to review the work. He then proceeded to harass me through nasty texts and 1 voice message throughout the evening, demanding payment without a review of the work. He threatened a lien on the property. I paid him the following day. Three days later, when my realtor was able to review the work, she found that the glaze was already peeling off. She contacted ***, and he agreed that it was poor work and that he would re-sand and re-glaze both tubs the following week. He again texted incessantly the night before, demanding that we be there at 9am to greet him, and yet he never came. The condo association has now banned Detroit Tubs from the property.

The owner of this company, *** was rude to begin with. However, after the sales person **** came out to give us an estimate we felt confident with the terms discussed. We had to reschedule a couple times due to their truck breaking down then us getting sick. Communication wasnt great but we got another date on the books. We were told the job would take 1 day and that they recommended our newborn and toddler be kept out of the house for 24 hours due to fumes. We moved the kids out of the house and after sanding the contractor left stating he would have to return to complete the job the next day. While it was inconvenient to be out of the house for an additional day, we made it work. Then the next day the contractor didnt return confirmed time. We called after a few hours and were told he got sick and they would have to reschedule. After no word - and no usable tub - for a few days, we called again and were informed he had Covid and would not be able to come back for a couple weeks. Once he was well enough he returned to complete. At first tub looked good, so we paid the final payment. The next day after glaze had dried there were several visible paint runs and some of the original blue tub showed through. We asked to have it fixed, he returned to fix it, it came out worse with several spots that were rough and still runs. We asked *** to come out to see himself. After agreeing that the work was not great he offered two options - $200 refund and send someone to redo or $300 and call it a day - both options warranty would be in tact. He sent a text to his team that we decided on the $200 and redo, noting that it would be 6 weeks before they could fit us in. It has been 6 weeks no refund and no word. We reached out several times with no response. Then finally filed a complaint with PayPal. *** accidentally text us so we took the opportunity to ask for the $300 and not pursue the redo of the tub. He then began to call us names and revoke the warranty. Still no refund.

notes from CRM I "Inspected the top of the day it doesnt need a little work were gonna give the homeowner $200 off and were gonna redo the top approximately six weeks from today. The warranties are all as normal" They disappoint with PayPal. They charge the entire day disputed with PayPal I responded PayPal sided with me

We filed a dispute with PayPal for the refund amount after multiple attempts by text and email to the company went unanswered. We are still awaiting the refund.

All was well until a problem developed, I had a bathroom re-glazed from a 60's style blue to a very modern **** with specs. Looked great until six months later, the new tile coating started to peel off the shower floor. Took at least 10 calls to make contact. I left voice messages and texts. One day he answered a call and said he would send the same person to fix. The installer said he had never seen this happen before but he recoated and again looked good but this time only lasted about 3 months. Same level of response with multiple calls and texts until one day *** (owner?) answered. He said we should strip the shower floor and paint white. I said fine as it would look better than the mess I was seeing. The installer came and stripped but felt he could reapply the coating and it would stick. It did not. I called and called, left text messages for months, Again, a random called was answered and he said he would schedule the installer to come a month later. I got a reminder about upcoming work the next day but he was a no show. I called and *** said the installer had quit and he had left me a message that he would not be there. NOT. I called at least 20 times afterward and left as many text messages. Again, on a random text, he answered. He gave me the installers name and said the job was closed as far as he was concerned as the installer (a **** employee is responsible). I said I hired Detroit Tubs and it was his responsibility. I called the installer and he said he had quit a year ago and was not sure *** had anyone capable of doing the worked he performed. I told *** I was going to hire the installer and **** him and he said no way. Let's see, he is a liar on 3 counts; 1) He said he had him scheduled, 2) He said he quit the week he was scheduled, 3) that he notified me. I told him I was going to hit social media and BBB if he did not come and correct the problem. He said no way....I am so mad at this guy I will be seeking a lawyer.
