I purchased a 2017 ******* santa fe from them in August of 2023 and within 3 months the vehicle is shot! I did my normal oil changes on time and everything. I see so many complaints about them selling vehicles and people are having the same problem no matter what vehicle they purchased! They are selling vehicles that they don't inspect and they don't check for recalls. My vehicle could catch fire at any point because of a recall and they let me purchase it like that. They lie, manipulate, and then send you on your way in a death trap or a money pit!! Seems to me with all of these same allegations we could have a lawsuit on our hands!Customer Answer

You know as I sit here and think about it, not only is Showcase auto sales deceiving people they sell cars to but they are also deceiving the banks that Supply the loans for these vehicles! I think these people are very deceitful and just want to get as much money in the door and as many cars out the door as possible they do not care about the person buying the vehicle nor do they care about the quality of the vehicle they are selling! They need to disclose the information that is wrong with the vehicle so that that person can have an opportunity to think about if they want to spend that extra money to fix the vehicle that they just freaking purchased for an outrageous amount of money! When you buy a house they have to tell you that somebody died in it or there's something wrong with it why can't it be the same for a vehicle why can't I be reassured that I'm not going to be buying a piece of c*** that's going to not work the day after I buy it!Initial Complaint

Saturday December 9th, my friend and I went Shiwcase auto sales to inquire about a vehicle. I was approached by a salesman, *****************************. We sat at his desk, where I had asked him several questions about the **** Exolorer. I had asked if anything was wrong with the vehicle. He noted no dash lights were on, that it ran and drove just fine and that they "didn't just go in and delete codes or anything like that". I told him that I would be using all of my cash, literally everything I had, for this vehicle so I needed to know if there was anything mechanically wrong with it. He stated that at some point in the ********* may need brakes or rotors but other than that, it would not need anything mechanically. Showcase auto Sales is a carfax advantage dealer, which states they practice transparency and their ads state they want you to leave their lot with confidence. These statements, plus the statements of assurance from the salesman, are why I decided to buy this vehicle. Within 3 days, the check engine light came on. I brought the car to a mechanic who gave me an entire list of 26 error codes the car was giving, some of them being severe engine issues. I was lied to. ***************************** misrepresented this vehicle and told me it would not need anything mechanically when in fact it needed a ridiculous amount of repairs. I immediately contacted ****** through email and explained the situation as well as attaching the list of error codes. He said his manager would be calling me. His manager, ****, called me and reiterated the fact that the vehicle was purchased as is, and I did not purchase a warranty. I explained that ****** misrepresented the vehicle and its condition. **** then says that ****** claims he didn't say those things, and that he wouldn't do anything about the vehicle. This is oral misrepresentation and fraud. I would not have purchased the vehicle, if ****** had not assured me it did not need anything mechanically.Initial Complaint

On 11/03/2023 I purchased a 2014 ****** Pathfinder from Showcase Auto Sales LLC.I took delivery on the date of purchase. The purchase price was $7,995.00 A fuel tank of fuel was part of the purchase. Prepurchase it was noted that the hood latch was not working well. Sales team member ***************************** contacted management on the situation after the onsite mechanics were not able to fix the latch, the management agreed to purchase a replacement latch and either mail it to me or I could return to have the new latch installed by on-premise mechanics. I agreed to have it sent to my address and that if I was not able to complete the repair I could still have the onsite mechanics complete the installation of the latch.A second issue with the vehicle happened when the rear hatch was opened. The driver-side power lift assembly broke off from the vehicle mount. ****** took the vehicle to the onsite mechanics. The onsite mechanics removed the broken power lift assembly at kept the parts that were removed. Showcase Auto did not return the removed parts to me. Note: This means that I cannot repair the lift system without the parts that were removed. ****** then contacted management again and it was agreed that a new liftgate power lift assembly and pivot that had broken, or the parts needed to complete a repair of the lift gate system and return it to an operational condition would be purchased by Showcase Auto. The same agreement was made that the parts would be installed by myself or by the onsite mechanics. That was approved by management. We are still on the same date and pre-delivery of the vehicle to me at this point. I could have still canceled the purchase. The manager did approve the repairs. And then on the way home at 8.8 miles, the check engine light came on. This event made me think that the codes were cleared prior to purchase. I have been told that code clearing is stored in the vehicle computer. I have yet to have that issue solved.I was limited by thesystem.Initial Complaint

Late august I had purchased a 2013 ******* Navigator for *********. They had me purchase a warranty that Im trying to get to cover a full engine replacement due to shards of metal found in the engine that cause my engine to have to be now replaced in less then a month of owning the vehicle. The mechanic said that this was a previous issue that should have been resolved prior to selling the vehicle. Now Im stuck with a vehicle that I cant drive and it should be in this dealership to replace this engine as they knew it was faultyBusiness Response

According to our rep at the warranty company, a claim was just filed this morning and no decision has been made as to fixing the vehicle. The warranty company is a third party, so customers must go through them for claims. I do not see a reason the bbb was contacted when the warranty company is working on the claim.Initial Complaint

Bought a car in December 2022 and not even 2 days later my transmission was messing up so I took it to a transmission shop. As they lifted my car up my front end had nothing holding it in. The transmission shop put push pins in to hold my front in. I had a transmission leak. Showcase the gm paid for the leak but it didnt fix the problem. Had to take it back to the transmission shop and had to replace my transmission I bought the car 2014 Buick Verano for $8995 with adding a 6 month warranty as I paid extra for so if anything major went wrong it would be covered. Showcase failed to tell me that when an item is covered under the warranty that its only warranted for the time I paid for the warranty. So my warranty expired in June 2023. I had called showcase several times before the warranty time was up in June. Now I have no vehicle bc the warranty company they offered me sold a faulty transmission (used). I called showcase several times to talk to a general manager to see what could be done and I didnt receive any return calls until 3 weeks ago as the general manager had offered their shop to fix my transmission cheaper. I still havent gotten a call. My main concern is as I called several times several employees told me that they do not inspect their vehicles. They get them at a auction and put them on the lot. Safety concerns??? If my front bumper came off my car going 75 mph as thats the speed limit on 127 on my way home it could have caused a terrible accident. They sell these high priced vehicles and get away with this? I could have hurt not only myself but my husband who was in the vehicle with me and whoever that was on the highway with us driving. Accountability? They have so many faulty vehicles and all the time have something wrong with them to even be allowed to leave the lot! Im so scared now to get another vehicle bc theres no actual proof its been fully inspected and other states than ******** has the yearly inspections as ******** should bc they wouldnt be able to sell many faulty hazardous vehiclesInitial Complaint

Bought a vehicle on Aug 21 2023 the next day the exhaust fell $300 plus fix. Drove car to work and back for a couple days noticed a noice sounded like steering wheel added steering wheel fluid before I had the vehicle for 1 week it was smoking low on steering wheel fluid spoke to showcase manager he sounded like he would fix it but at shop he told them I bought extended warranty (this so called warranty wasn't dis used with me prior to signing they just added) well this warrant for 950 dollars doesn't cover steering wheel parts. So I have waited for weeks to here back from manager had. Spoke with him yesterday informing him I work the weekend the car leaks the fluid out as fast as you put it in so I need it fixed but he is still ignoring me. I would like car fixed at there expense because it was just purchased had not had it for a week when it went out or I want to give car backInitial Complaint

Me and my dad bought a 08 Chevrolet Silverado almost a year ago. Went in to have it fixed with the ****** that we purchased through the dealership. It needed a leaf spring. The shop where we took it. Deemed the truck unsafe to drive and took it off the road. I still owe almost ten thousand on this truck. It is so rusted the frame is broken it two spots. Needs a complete new frame underneath. Been like this even before we bought it. This was covered in plastics so no one would notice and they could sell the truck. How crooked it that. I drove my kids around in this. They had to have known since they covered it with plastics. I keep calling to talk to the general manager and guess what they are never in and never return my calls. Next stop I guess will be court since they dont want to rectify the situation. I am ok with them paying off with what we owe on the truck and I would buy something else from there. But will be inspected by someone else and want the car fax history report. Very shady and not a very legitimate business. The people at the shop I took it to to get the leaf spring fixed were just in shock.Business Response

Bought car for $6736 cash, was told it was as is and because he didn't work with me on the sticker price or my plate (like he said he would with the plate), i wasn't able to afford a warranty assuming every business should have at least 15 to 30 day warranty for incidents like this. My motor blew after driving only 3 times. I was still driving my older van trying to save my new car for long trips and such. Now I need a a new motor, and pretty much was told I have to eat almost 7k and go without a car when I have 5 kids. My heart is broken and I'm back to having an unreliable vehicle again. One step forward and ten back. How can they do this to people?
