Monday August 14, 2023 my two children signed into a one hour Code Ninjas class. Usually we are able to see the live time on the screen with a countdown of the time left but this day the employees were watching ******* on the screen. Per the contact, it is a nut free facility yet there was ************** present which contains peanut oil. We entered the classroom where two employees helped the children sign in. At that time a man who appeared to not be an active employee passed the front desk and started conversing with the two employees. At that point the two employees started to ignore my children's questions about the curriculum to speak with the visitor. Eventually a staff member allowed my child to ask her question but then walked away without responding. This felt harsh so I intervened to ask why my daughter was not worthy of a response and he said because he saw her do it before and continued to chat about personal issues not related to work with his friends. My child did not understand the task at hand and was left staring at the computer afraid to inquire again. We ended up leaving early as the children were reprimanded. Code Ninjas is in breach of contact for not providing services paid for and making the children feel so uncomfortable they do not want to return. There is no refund policy so the refund is at the franchise discretion. I detailed this to the owners and agree what was described was upsetting but they will not provide a refund. Given they are not able to provide the services purchased, I am requesting a full refund of any unused classes. l hope that future parents will avoid any emotional distress on their children by reading the complaint.

I had enrolled my son in a one-week summer camp at Code Ninja located in **********. The class was called "Introduction to ******************* which started on July 25th and ended on July 29th. I have been attempting to get a receipt with the Code Ninja Tax ID so that I could submit the expense for FSA reimbursement. I have contacted the franchise and the headquarters (in *****) eleven times by phone and three times by email. At one point, the individual answering the phone at the franchise indicated that they had recently had a system upgrade, and that the receipt may have been lost. On another occasion, the same individual stated that I was in their system but that since I was calling 90 days past the date of the class, the information was lost. Please note, I had started to call or email Code Ninja on August 15th. The individual that I had been working with most recently knew of my issue on or around October 18th, in advance of the 90 days. In my last attempt with the franchise, I asked to have the owner call me within 48 hours. I learned that the owners name was "Adeel" but the individual I was speaking with did not know the owner's last name. This call was made on October 31st. I called back on November 3rd, since I had not yet heard from the owner. On this last call, the individual indicated that he had relayed my request to *****, but there was no guarantee that ***** would respond. When I offered to visit the location, I was told ***** does not go into the location. When I called the Code Ninja headquarters, I was also met with no success. None of the *** prompts work - they are all "invalid entries."All I need is a receipt with the Tax ID for my FSA reimbursement. Any assistance would be appreciated.
