I recently bought a 2018 **** Edge from Subaru of Ann Arbor. I was told the vehicle did not come with a warranty due to it's age. Within 24 hrs of purchase, the check engine light came on. I contacted the dealer who said to bring it in so they could look at it. They said it had misfire codes and needed new spark plugs and wanted to charge $590 for it. I told them that amount was crazy and the service manger said I should speak with the sales guy to see if they would help. I took the car home and waited to hear from the sales guy. In the mean time I had also scheduled an appointment with my local shop. They ran a diagnostic, which pulled up misfire error codes P0316 and P0304. they were also alerted to a tech bulleting related to the codes and the make/model that suggested they scope the cylinder, and pressure test for coolant intrusion. Which they did, and found evidence of coolant intrusion. Per the tech bulletin is fix is a new engine. I have told the dealer all of this but they are not working with me and refuses to provide any option for remedy. I know the car was sold is "as is" but they missed something in the pre-sale inspection. Also, the diagnostic port had been pulled though the carpet by the driver's feet which seems suspicious. Sales Mgr. has also been gaslighting me, saying I refused the warranty when one was never offered. Subaru of Ann Arbor has no integrity.

I purchase a vehicle from this dealership. In the listing and the inspection performed by their mechanic it stated the ** was working. When I took it in to a mechanic he said no chance the ** was working as pieces were melted off.

This took place in September 2022, when car inventory is really low.I had been working with this dealer since July 1, 2022.The ********** were in agreement for me to buy a specific Outback that was still coming in ************** were provided to me), I had gotten their pre-approval for my company's discount and they took my deposit, applied for a loan and I confirmed my intent to purchase by responding to their "agreement to purchase" email. To my surprise after about 2 weeks, I was informed Subaru of Ann Arbor will not be selling me the Outback. I was given lame excuses for why they're not selling me the car (e.g. it's a business case, I live outside *** Arbor, etc...).Not only did they waste my ************** but they also have NOT returned my deposit 10 months later.I'm still trying to understand why my ******** were treated so badly and I have made many, many efforts to ask them for my money, without any luck.My customer rating 0/5.

I have requested you, the customer come to the dealership so that we can refund the deposit. Our process is that we wont do it over the phone due to credit card risk and refunding the wrong person. We will refund the customer if they come in and provide ID. THANKS

I bought a car, put down 15k and offered to pay the rest if I couldnt get financing due to being in between jobs. After they did over 10 inquiries, which did not count as one on one of my credit reports, they played around with the numbers and claimed I got a great deal on a 20k car. After financing, I ended up almost having to pay 30k. Additionally, taking the car in for a repair, it was estimated that I would have to pay over 10k to get it fixed. My insurance said it would only cost about $3500. Then it took 6 weeks to get it back AND I had to get a new battery because it didnt get started during the cold 6 weeks. Finally, After an accident, and having the car totaled, I only ended up getting about $100 back. I know there is probably nothing I can do and I blame myself for going through with the deal, but ** writing this to warn people to NEVER go to this dealer. I will be getting another Subaru, but will be willing to drive further to go to a better dealer.

Worst dealership ever. Put down $500 to have priority on the purchase of a vehicle they had at their lot. I was promised that if for any reason I decided not to purchase the vehicle it was fully refundable. I received a better deal on the same vehicle from somewhere else. I called *** Arbor Subaru to let them know and I have still not received my deposit back and that was a month ago.

My understanding is that this is resolved, and we just need the credit card number in order to refund the deposit. I am sorry we weren't able to do business with you. Please reach out if you have any problems with getting this refunded. thank you

The **** for the perfect car was a daunting task, but ******** and I were determined to find the one that would take our breath away. We had heard such good things about Subaru, so we decided to take a chance and buy one. After securing financing through our lender, we were ecstatic to hear that the dealer had the exact car that *********** had sent them information on.We rushed over to *** Arbor Subaru, eager to get behind the wheel of our dream car. As we test-drove the vehicle, we knew we had found the one. But, as we were about to sign the papers, we noticed the first mistake that told us this was not going to be a pleasant experience. The salesman eagerly informed us that the Dealership owner loved Subaru so much that he included a lifetime warranty on the powertrain, motor, and other components. ******** and I were blown away by this incredible offer. However, our excitement quickly turned to disbelief when the salesman revealed that this "lifetime warranty" would cost us an additional $899.I was not happy with this unexpected fee, but I tried to brush it off because I had fallen in love with the car. We went back inside to finalize the deal. But, to our horror, the price had suddenly increased by almost $3,000! And that was before the $899 for the so-called lifetime warranty that the owner supposedly included because of his love for Subaru. To make matters worse, the salesman claimed that the vehicle identification number on my paperwork from *********** did not match the car we were test-driving, even though it did and I have his paper proving that it did. All of these discrepancies left us feeling uneasy and convinced us that this was not a trustworthy dealership. In the end, we made the difficult decision to never return to Subaru of Ann Arbor and may even rethink purchasing a Subaru in the future. It was a painful ****** learned, but we realized that sometimes things that seem too good to be true often are.

Customer received a quote from a third-party lead provider about $3000 off from MSRP, this third-party provider was not authorized by us to off a discount. When we explained to the customer that they were not authorized to provide a discount on our behalf, and that we were not able to accept that deal, the customer began to be irate if the showroom in front of our other customers, and we asked him to leave.

I "bought" a truck on Monday, October 31st, 2022. The online sales guy assisted me well. I originally talked to him at 9:30am, but he didn't want to give me a SOLD confirmation until he double checked if it was sold. At around noon, he let me know it was available and took my DL and insurance and $2000 deposit. The next evening at 7:30 *********************, used car manager, called me to cancel the deal and told me the truck was sold. I don't like calling folks liars. This man bold face lied to me. I confirmed that they sold it for more money. I don't write reviews ever, but this had to be done.

I have contacted **************** and apologized for the miscommunication and reassured him that this was our fault and that we feel badly about the situation. As a rule of thumb, we do not take deposits on pre-owned vehicles. Between the time we committed to selling the vehicle to him and collecting a deposit, we had a local buyer that had committed to purchase that evening. Here at ****** of *** Arbor we prioritize the customers experience and would not have done this purposely. It was a poor miscommunication on our end. I have proposed the idea of locating him another Tacoma and making sure it has the appropriate packages but **************** has rejected this offer. I do apologize again for the mix up on our end. Anything we can do further to help remedy the situation, we are open to. Thanks for all you do at the BBB!*********************

Terrible salesman. Terrible dealership. During this time of ordering a vehicle. We discussed and negotiated a price per month for the vehicle I ordered. I was going with another dealership and this dealership matched the price. I put the deposit down and when the vehicle came in they said the price went up. The salesman never could send an email with the price, yet he did and it was a fake document that failed to open. This dealership is not trustworthy and do not look out for the interest of their customers. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP.
