      Back on Sept 13, 2023 I inquired about a library edition of Ancestry.com. ProQuest is the parent company. I had a phone call with a *********************. After having a meeting and asking several questions I went ahead and purchased it for the library (Ancestry.com library edition). However after going through the training and trying my own information, the only thing they could locate about me was my 3 addresses I had lived at in my current town--no record of marriage, birth, etc. Yet the training TELLS you to start with yourself. After communicating several times with screen shots, their final answer from upper management was this: ********* isnt what ***** would like to hear, but the reason her documents cant be found through search is because the documents are not in there. Ancestry has a great deal of content, but there are holes. There are missing documents and missing collections. It is imperfect. With that said, Ancestry is, by far, the most complete genealogy collection available." My question to them is how to I present to my patrons as a viable way of searching when I couldn't even find my own information. I feel I need a refund of our subscription in its entirety, because it's not as explained/promised for reliability ( I was born and raised in **** ************* and have lived here my entire life--as were my parents.) I have emails with screen shots if needed that I sent over--several items.

      I received emails from our account manager at ********************** they are issuing a full refund for our membership.  I have not received the check as of yet, but was informed last week (I was out of the office toward the end of last week from 12/13-12/15 and I did not see the email until late yesterday afternoon.  I will update  BBB once I receive the check. Thank you.
