I accompanied children and her friend at the **************, ***** location between the hours of 4:30-6:30pm Oct. 20 2023. An accident occurred involving my son on the ropes course. There was one staff member strapping the kids to the harnesses but no supervising staff above where the children were. There was a platform with no barriers, net or any fencing directing the child to use the course in a particular way. My son said afterwards he was trying to get over to the tires where his sister was and he either fell or jumped. He hung by his harness and slammed up against a metal staircase bruising his leg. Those who responded were other parents who put a chair underneath and helped push his weight up so he wouldn't positionally asphyxiate. Everyone that witnessed this accident was shocked and traumatized and other parents were even crying. The ropes course was shut down afterwards and myself and other parents expressed safety concerns to the Manager *******. I only know his first name because it was on his walkie talkie. ******* refused to give me his full name or employee id number and refused to give me information on how to contact corporate. ******* demonstrated no concern for child welfare or safety and blamed the fall on my son despite the fact that a whole crowd of people witnessed him fall slamming against a metal staircase and hang in front of them. ******* said he would probably lose his job and then said he "didn't like his job anyway." ******* then said he would refund me but only if we left because he "couldn't give us something for free." I didn't want to disappoint my daughter so we stayed. Then later the manager alleged my son had behaviors which he said were caught on video he then told us to leave. My son has autism and was dysregulated by the accident. I believe the manager was acting in a retaliatory way out of concern for his job. The children were too scared to play afterwards and the whole birthday night ruined.
