    On 9/1, AM Hardscapes and Maintenance came to our home and handled a landscaping job for us. We were pleased with his work and asked for a quote for additional work to be done at a later date. We had not planned on getting this done immediately because it was more money then we wanted to spend at this time, but the owner offered us a reasonable rate for the work and kept saying that he could get the work done within 7-10 days. We decided to hire ******* and his crew to complete the second project in the timeframe he provided. On 9/8, he asked for a down payment of $900 to get the supplies and said he would be over the next day to start the work and it would be completed by 9/10. On 9/9, he messaged saying that his trailer hitch broke and he needed to fix that first before he could come over. We understood - things happen. The following day, he mentioned that he was finalizing a job for another client and had an issue with his gas tank leaking and needed to fix that. We understood. Then - radio silence. I messaged him and/or called him every day, and he did not respond until 9/18. He apologized saying his mom was in the hospital, he was having relationship issues, etc. We told him we are pretty reasonable people but need him to stay in contact and communicate with us (poor business practice to do what he was doing f). He understood and said he could still do the job. We told him we would wipe the slate clean and try again if he could stay in contact. He agreed and said he would be over to do the work within the next few days. Well - we heard multiple excuses again, then he stopped communicating on 10/1. We are extremely disappointed because this was work he talked us into doing immediately and we were really looking forward to the finished product. Now, we simply want our $900 back ASAP.

    The business owner has informed me that he believes he can return our money by 10/24.  I asked him how we are supposed to trust him and he said we shouldnt.  I do not believe we will receive our money from him.  If he does not respond our money by 10/24 as previously discussed, I will have him served with court documents and file a police report.
