    Paid to have my taxes filed, they took the money but never filed my taxes. Now Im unable to contact them to find out why

    Hi, my name is ******* ******. I am with Murphy's accounting services complaint. Number ******** filed by ****** ***. Okay, so the problem is is that she paid us to prepare her tax returns and to e file the returns, which we attempted to do. The federal return was rejected due to Misinformation that we had from her on her return, I sent to a letter to her within 3 days from the e filing on april 7th and she neglected to open the mail and did not realize it was that we also tried to call her twice to let her know, and there was no response from her. She she emailed me in May asking about her refund. I told her I had already sent her a letter explaining it. Basically, they were trying to file separately and claim the marketplace insurance, the premium tax credit and the I R S does not allow that they you have to file jointly if you have that insurance. We tried to explain that to her. In the letter, she had told us that her husband had already filed separately and had had no problem, so we attempted to do it to see if if it would go through and it did not, I did not file her state return because if she is going to have to AM and her return to file jointly, we did not want to file the state return and have to amend that. Also, I explain this all to her in the 2 letters that I sent to her. She was not happy that I did not return the fee, but according to the customer, the client engagement letter that we give every single 1 of our clients, it tells them that they are Paying us to prepare and e file their returns, which we did if they do not go through, that is nothing that we can know about ahead of time or prevent. So in my view this complaint, she is not happy. She did not get her big refund, but she needs to file jointly with her husband, and I explained that to her in the letter twice that I sent to her also in the email I sent to her.
