    I had booked a 5 night stay at eagle point lodge ***** through ***** He canceled the night before with his reason being that cabin isnt being offered right now and that it was a huge change. He said the lady that runs it was supposed to tell me. Hes the only one that runs it and he never responded to any phone calls emails or texts until the day before. What he did was double book his place and took my money and never refunded me. He offered to pay for my vacation at a different time and location which after what he did I dont trust him and couldnt make that change anyway. Hes done this to other several times. I have to go through my credit card company to get refunded because hes ignoring my attempts to get it from him.

    I rented a vacation home in April of ****************** August 2022. I confirmed with him in July that we were good to go. The day before we were set to arrive he contacted me to say the house was having water well issues and for our safety we could not stay there. He offered us a smaller home with a $1000 refund to reflect the smaller homes value, plus the use of kayaks and a pontoon boat for our aggravation. Rescheduling was not an option for us so we agreed to squeeze into the smaller home, and with his permission put tents in the yard for teens. When we arrived we met the nice family next door, which happened to be the original house we had booked! Lovely family that confirmed there were no well issues. We aimed to not let it ruin our vacation and focused on the perks of the boats and money back to us. Then we were told the kayaks were not available at all and he finally made a pontoon boat available to us on our last afternoon ( but, first attempted to invoice us for it, claiming he forgot he would comp us) It has been 18 days since he altered our contract. I started attempting to reach him the day we arrived home for our $1000. He has mainly been unresponsive. He replied back once claiming that the credit has been applied already. My credit card company has looked into this for me a few times over the last week and assured me that there is no such pending transaction.

    The business did refund me. Albeit angrily.

    I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #********. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved.
