We booked at the Carolina Motel a few months ago, upon arrival to the motel nobody was there allow us into our room. Once someone did arrive they took a $100 CASH ONLY security deposit. When we got into the room there was holes filled with tinfoil, a fridge full of alcohol, a stove that was absolutely disgusting, hairballs all over the room/in the bed, what appeared to be f**** stains on the sheets. I paid $640 for this two night stay. The property is refusing me a refund even though we did not stay. When I called and asked about the alcohol they said its our mini bar the rooms on the website vs. in person were two completely different things. My daughter is 2 and has asthma and I was very lucky to of had her inhaler due to the amount of filth, dust and hair. The sprinkler system had about 2 inches of dust around it. This is just the start.

Booked room for July 8-July 10, 2023. Hotel posted online photos that were not of room they were renting. When we arrived room was disgusting and the chemical/mold smell was overpowering we could not breath. Immediately went to the office and told manager was not there they would have him/her call us. We had just drove over 4 hours. Went out to get food came back asked for manager or call no manager or call. Room was not fit for human beings to stay in I am surprised ************** health **** has not shut down. Built in fan/ac in wall not working, only small porthole size window. We could not drive home another 4 hours so I slept in front seat of my car so I could breath my husband slept in room, laying on top of bed using beach towels for blanket. Whole room was disgusting and unclean. We went to office first thing in the morning Sunday and asked for manager. A different person said not available they would have someone call. No one called. I was also emailing property throughout this time. We left on Sunday requesting at least one night refund. They said that was up to manager. Manager never ended up calling to hear why we could not stay there. I received email Tuesday 11th saying no refunds. We should get refund at least for one night as Carolina motel falsely advertised room they were renting on booking.com. Since our stay they updated photos to the room they actually were renting. If I saw original photos I never would have rented that room by looks alone forget about the air quality. Businesses should not be allowed to false advertise and take advantage of people. I am looking for refund.

I booked a room at the carolina resort hotel in *****************. The hotel was a complete dump and should be condemned. The pictures online are not what depicts the hotel and they trick a customer into booking. The manager agreed to reimburse me for one night but would not reimburse me for both. I would like both nights reimbursed, as i was misled. The pictures below are the misleading photos displayed for bookings. On top of all of this, i had a sick child and had to stay in a horrible disgusting room with them.

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. As mentioned in the original complaint, they reimbursement me for second night as agreed on at the facility. However, i have not heard a response from them in regards to a refund on the first night.
