February 2023 I bought a 2015 Buick Encore from Auto Pro Auto Sales in ********. within 30 days the engine light came on, and it was leaking antifreeze. I contacted Auto Pro Auto (think his name is *****) he told me to bring it in. Being a female and wanting to make sure I wasnt going to be taken advantage of, I went to Advance Auto and had the code read. (Believe it came up with something about Valve Cover Gasket). I took the are to Auto Pro, they replaced the thermostat. Engine light was turned off. Engine light came on again, believe it was around April, I called Auto Pro and again, was told my 30 days was up, there is nothing they can do about it. I went to get oil changed in car, (What was J&S in **********) *** told me I had a couple of major oil leaks and that the catalytic converter was missing. I contacted Det. *********************************** ***** ****** of ***** Vehicles (I had worked with her previously on a seperate matter) I asked her if Auto Pro could have legally sold me the car without a catalytic converter. She gave me the name and number of another Detective ***********, whom I contacted. it took him a few days to get back to me. Said I needed to get in touch with someone at the ************ inspections. I contacted them, and never got a response back. I did purchase the extended warrantee when I took the loan out on my car (Thru ********************) so I have gotten the oil leaks fixed, but have an estimate that catalytic convertor would cost approx. $1500. ---- is oil leaks and catalytic convertor something that Auto Pro should have/be paying for?
