My wife and I bought a 2015 Buick Enclave from DNK select auto on March 15th 2024. About 7 weeks later on May 9th 2024 my wife was driving through *********** and into ********, traffic came to a standstill. An ambulance was trying to get through,so from a stop she and all the cars pulled over to the side and up on the edge of the curb and sidewalk. Traffic finally started moving again and got about a half a mile down the road, put on the brakes to turn into ********* and heard a noise then a rubbing sound. She called me and I came and picked her up. DNK was closed for the evening and we waited until the next morning to have it towed to DNK. She told them what had happened. They called me back on May 13th and told me that there was internal damage done to the differential and it would need to be replaced and that it wasnt covered by the service contract because she hit the curb and that caused the damage. I told her that it wasnt possible for that to happen, from driving up on the curb she said well she said she hit the curb and Im not going to lie for you and said she would need a 2 thousand dollar for the repair. I desperately needed the car back because my wifes mother died 2 days before the car broke down and we had to travel back and forth to ******. I gave them the $2000 on May 14th. After many delays and us calling them weekly they finally contacted us on June 7th and said that somehow the transmission also got damaged and they couldnt fix it I would have to take it to a transmission shop and have it repaired or they could put another transmission in it for another $5000. They gave me the name of the repair shop and I had to pay the remaining $1046.47. I called T&B transmission in *******. I told him what had happened and he said I call ******** there is no possible way to do internal damage to a differential. And certainly no way it could also damage the transmission. He said they are lying and i should file complaint and small claims.
