I have been traveling in an RV since September. On January 16, 2024 my daughter sent a package to me at a campground I was to be at for one week. The package contained mail which included mail order prescriptions and private health information. She paid over $80 to send it"3-day select" to ensure it arrived prior to our planned departure on January 22. On January 17 I checked the tracking to see where it was and it said it would be delivered by Monday, January 22 by 7pm. Our camping reservation was only through January 21. I called *** to question the 3-day guarantee and was told that The UPS Store where we shipped it from didn't get it to the facility in a timely manner and it wasn't "accepted into their system" until January 18. They would therefore have 3 business days from that point to get it to us. I had to pay an additional night at the campground in ***********, ** to be able to receive it. They told me I needed to talk with The UPS Store, not *** if I had any problems or claims. I reluctantly paid to stay an additional night, but later in the day checked tracking again and found the package was still not anywhere near *********** and the anticipated delivery date had been changed to Wednesday January 24 by 7pm. I was not able to remain in NM any longer and had to request that the package be returned to my daughter. I again called The UPS Store in ********* (*********** but the number took me me to *** instead of the local store. After waiting more than 3 hours on hold (I do have the phone logs), I was told they could not help me because the refund would have to come from the local *** Store because it was under their account, and he connected me to them. The woman I spoke with was EXCEEDINGLY rude, arrogant and condescending. She told me she'd worked there for 11 years and KNEW the rules....3-day select was NOT a guarantee and I needed to call ***. After getting her name and the name of the owner from her she then HUNG UP ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF MY SENTENCE. I want the full refund plus $50 for the additional night of camping.
