On October 12, 2023 Asphalt Techs was hired to clean off entire my driveway in preparation for sealcoating, fill all major cracks with hot rubber and then sealcoat with commercial grade sealer. They did not fill any of the cracks at all. I contacted the owner ***************************** (on Friday, October 13) who was at my property when the job was being done to let him know that none of the cracks were filled. On November 29, 2023 at 1:30pm ******* finally responded via email stating: In the Spring of 2024, we will return to your home to redo the cracks in the driveway with crack filler. I have reached out to ******* within the last month many times (phone call, *************** and he has not responded. ******* was paid in-full $600 cash on Thursday, October 12. Please note: The date he has on his invoice is not correct. It was October, not September.

I have heard from the business and the owner ******* said he was too busy to answer me. He then further said he refuses to finish the job unless I take my poor reviews down. I am by no means obligated to remove any reviews especially when my job was paid for in-full and not completed. I gave him three weeks to respond to all of my requests. I mentioned that if he did not want to finish the job then I would take a partial refund back. I have not heard anything since. Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

When we did the work for ***************, we were actually doing her neighbors across the street. We seal coated the gentleman, driveway and used hot rubber crack filler to fill his cracks. No complaints, his driveway was in relatively good shape to begin with very minor repairs were needed. After the work was done at the neighbors house, ***, had asked us for a free quote on the driveway. I informed her that her driveway was "too far gone" For filling or seal coating and it needed a fresh layer of asphalt applied. She was quoted approximately $6000 for the new asphalt at 2 inches thick to be applied. She asked if there was a cheaper option, I told her else would be putting "lip stick on a pig". She continued to ask how much it would be, I then informed *** typically the price would be $750 but if she really wanted it done, I would cut her a break at $600. I also informed her that she had so many cracks, and the driveway was so beaten up that this was not the correct way of doing the driveway, but she did not want to spend the $6000. The customer was well aware of what she was getting, and this is a perfect example of you get what you pay for. I informed her that the seal coat would stay for 3 to 4 years and keep the driveway looking black, but the cracks were the worst part and that's why it needed to be paved, again, "too far gone". *** has only texted me one time, and one email. As this is the peak of our seasonal season, I am trying to keep up with all of the new calls as well as old customers. *** was well aware of what was going on, and she got exactly what she paid for. As far as the invoice goes, it was easiest for us to write exactly exactly what we did to her neighbors, driveway, and just copy and paste it onto hers, and just change the address and name. We did this because I had a verbal, mutual understanding with ***, as to the exact work that was being done to the driveway. I have reached out to her and offered her a couple different avenues if she were to take down her nasty reviews about our company. We have received no reply.

I have never seen so many flat out untruths or lies from a contractor. Attached please find my original text when the work was not completed completely and a followup text.  I also had a phone conversation with ******* back in the Fall and he apologized that the work was not done correctly hence that is why he sent me the invoice I requested with the email stating he would contact me in the Spring of 2024. If there was no further work to be done on my driveway then he would have not stated it since he clearly stated he finished my neighbors and there was no reason to return to do any work on their driveway.  Everything he is stating is completely wrong and my neighbor is willing to verify my experience with Asphalt Techs 100%. It was my neighbor who initially contacted me and said he was getting his driveway done and if I would like to get mine done at the same time, then we would both get a discount. For the work on my driveway I was quoted $600 to fill the three cracks and seal the driveway. I never asked for any further discount. ******* did try an upsell me with a new driveway installation and I told him that I would not be able to do it for a couple years as I needed new gutters and one of my pets needed surgery. What was agreed upon, was that the work that was to be done was for curb appeal purposes and not a long time "fix." It was to repair it and make it look nice for a few years. All the facts are in our correspondence. ******* has not made any offers or resolution. He only stated that he would not do any work unless I take my reviews down. My reviews are accurate and truthful and as a consumer and an American, it is my freedom of speech and my right to share my horrible experience, which is continuing to be an issue. If Asphalt Techs does not want to complete the job, then I will take a $250 refund on the job. I am trying to resolve this without going to small claims court, but that will be my next course of action. All my documentation supports my claims against Asphalt Techs.

We had Asphalt Techs fill cracks on the two streets in our development. The service was prompt and courteous. ******* said the repairs should be good for 5 years. Six months later a number of the cracks were open with vegetation growing in them. I called and left messages about getiing the cracks repaired but my calls were never returned.

The first I heard of this complaint was yesterday (more than 1 year after the crack filling was done), but then I received the BBB Complaint.  My home base is in *****.  I returned home late last night to be with family as there is a lock down in many towns in our State due to an active shooter situation, and the shooter is still on the loose.

We do not guarantee workmanship of filling cracks on a high traffic roadway shared by a neighborhood and travelled by various motor vehicles, etc. on a day to day basis.  The winter elements of the ground freezing and thawing will expand the asphalt and cause cracks to open up.  We cannot guarantee what the elements will do to a road or what a plow truck blade will do to a road.  There is no written guarantee from Asphalt Techs for this job.
