McKendree movers was hired to move my family out our house and store our furniture. I was very pleased with them moving us out and storing our furniture until our house was ready. However, moving us in was nothing but a disaster. Our 2 big television screens were broken, my daughter dresser drawer was broken, ******* cable box missing, big radio system broken, many glasses broken, and my husband has 4 pair of classic tennis shoes missing. I reached out to the company regarding our claim which equaled to $3,699. A representative called me and said I didnt purchase the insurance so they will pay to replace our televisions and we have to pay $500 deductible. I truly feel like a victim out this situation.Business response

We are sorry to hear **. **** is unsatisfied with the way her claim was handled. At the time of her estimate and in follow-up emails, Full Value Protection Coverage was offered for her move. Although **. **** chose not to purchase this coverage, we handled her claim as if she had. We did apply the $500 deductible, but never charged her the $180 fee for coverage.
The six item claim is attached, and each item was handled as follows:
1. ******* Box- Will be delivered to her **** *** ****** ***** on 12/15/2021.
2. Glasses from Buffet- Not packed by McKendree employees.
3. Boombox Stereo- Not packed by McKendree employees.
4. Dresser- Paid $500
5 & 6. Two TV's- Packed by McKendree employees. The initial claim valued both TVs at $2200. Customer purchased two replacement TVs for $1700. McKendree paid $1700.
The three items qualifying for reimbursement totaled $2200; less the $500 deductible. We hand delivered a check in the amount of $1700 and removed the two damaged TVs for disposal.
We are disappointed in the damage that occurred, but feel we have taken the necessary steps to rectify it.

I am rejecting this response because: my husband shoes were stolen. In addition, when I signed up services it was never instructed if I packed my own items I would be responsible if my items are broken. This company sold a dream and was a major failure. With my items being in their storage area they definitely should've took responsibility for my items broken.
John came over for the initial quote and visit and assured me my items would be taken care of with care and assured me I didn't need to purchase additional insurance because this company has come highly recommended.It's truly unfortunate all the money this company has caused me including the theft of my husband's sneakers.Regards,
