I had an appointment with this office in April and gave the office my insurance information and debit card for the copay prior to the appointment. A week after the appointment the office charged my card $250 for a no show fee for an appointment that I never made without notifying me. I had to reach out to the owner explaining that she scheduled me wrong to get the administrative staff to refund me. I was refunded. In August I was contacted again saying that my insurance was inactive and I would have to pay another $150 out of pocket. I called them and gave them my insurance information again. In September they contacted me again saying that my insurance was inactive and I would have to pay OOP. I called my insurance and they said that they have never received a bill from the office and they overcharged me for my copay. In October they contacted me saying I have to pay almost $100. I contacted my insurance again who said that I do not have a deductible and they still haven't billed it.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/13) */ You did not give us your new insurance information that had changed since the last time you got services. Your billing did not go through because of the inactive insurance. Your old co-pay was $25 and we reimbursed you when we got your new insurance information for the $10 difference after we ran your benefits with the correct insurance number. I billed your insurance 7 times, 3 with the wrong insurance number and 4 with the correct number. Your insurance is still rejecting the claim and are telling us you have a deductible for the date of service on 4/28/21. We did contact you about the charge and the amount billed was the contracted rate which was not $250 and you were informed that your insurance reported you had a deductible. We have worked with you since May 2021 on this matter and it is now October 2021. It is your responsibility to give us correct information for billing and you are responsible for deductible amounts . Per our policy that you signed at intake you are responsible to give us your updated insurance, know your benefits and are responsible for paying your deductible. You also signed the policy authorizing us to charge your credit cards for co-pays and deductibles and you were informed ahead of time for these charges. I provided you all the information in an email today which then provoked your complaint. Any other company would have sent you to collections and I did not do this and am only asking for you to pay your deductible for services rendered. We have been more than patient and understanding around your insurance billing issues for close to 6 months.
