On 7/16/21 my travel partner and I along with our 3 small children checked in at this DISGUSTING hotel. When we walked in you could tell that the room had not been cleaned. It was late and we agreed to wipe down and "make it work" until the morning & have housekeeping correct the issues. We followed the hotel's protocol for housekeeping but nothing had been done to the room. Once again, we said lets just request towels and clean sheets and we can do it ourselves. The front desk refused to provide the towels, about 1.5hrs later of being in the lobby arguing over towels and filing a complaint did they decide to hand us the clean towels. Corporate notified us that a resolution would be provided at check out. Upon us checking out, the manager was talking to us in a very aggressive manner. He put his finger in our faces and as soon as he check us out he threatened to call the police on us for trespassing. $400 a night for this type of service is unacceptable- the worst stay EVER.Initial Complaint

I stayed at the Econo lodge in Maryland ocean city. The stay was okay, no central air, water front rooms smell of the poll on first floor where the old lobby use to be. The elevator room is wide open with a fan blowing on it big safety hazard. I was told by maids they had ran out of toilet paper when i confronted the GM it seemed like he wanted to fight. Upon leaving the hotel i left two pairs of shoes in my room due to the phone call from the front desk at 6 am letting me know my checkout is soon (11 am) i walked out of my room while packing and my room key was deactivated 2 hours prior to checkout i had to get a maid to open my door. When i finally got the car packed up and traveled hours home i realized i had left my shoes equaling up to $500 or so. Panicking i called asking for help where i was greeted by don the GM who said he doesn't have time to help me call back tomorrow. Then hung up on me. After calling back he got more angry, yelling at me "so what is the issue" horrible.
