    I am a current Carchex customer. This review is not the route I wanted to take but it seems to be the only way to yield a result. I had a broken air conditioner in my car. I brought it in to get fixed and paid out of pocket. I later submitted a claim on the Carchex website for partial reimbursement. I submitted the claim on May 12 and never hear anything back. After a few weeks I followed up and was connected with ******** **** ******. The reps I spoke with there informed me that Carchex is non responsive but that I can cancel my Carchex policy, get a refund for what I paid, get reimbursed for the air conditioning repair, and get a new policy with them, thus replacing Carchex. That is not my intention but how can I expect reimbursement, let alone acknowledgment when the company is not only non responsive, but upon proactively reaching out, I am steered towards canceling the policy and get a new one with someone else.

    I've been with Carchex a few years now,and they are absolutely the best!! Great customer service,easy to reach,and they cover ALL major components on your vehicle!! There's truly no need to look elsewhere. Carchex is the best...top notch......5 stars!!!!!????????????????

    When I traded in my car, Carchex lied to me about when my contract began in order to get out of sending me money. My contract began in 2021 but I was told that, in 2021 instead of beginning, the contract was cancelled. In addition to receiving a reimbursement for a towing expense I incurred, work was done to my car in 2024 and 2025.
    ******** **** ****** worked for Carchex.

    Couldnt even get a quote. The employee was too uncouth, idiotic and unprofessional to work with. ***** kept insulting me and taunting me.

    CARCHEX is a complete scam. I encourage people to read all of the one-star reviews and come to their own conclusions. Research will save you money, time, and frustration. In addition, I suggest trying to engage with the website that they have set up to help with your decision. You will find that the website is inoperable. This should be a wonderful clue as to how it will work if you file a claim with them.
    My experience is just like the others. Long story short, I paid for a warranty and the warranty was not honored when it came time to pay the repair shop. Once again, don't use these scam artists! You will regret this decision if you do.

    This company is Nothing but trouble it keeps billing my card and I have had a Run around every time I talk to them They had to refund my payment last month now they charged my account again. I just got off the phone and a person told me that the policy is canceled but they never put in a stop payment. He said he would get it fixed but we shall see. Would NOT do any business with them at all.

    Carchex is a Scam – Don’t Fall for Their Trap!
    I purchased a Powertrain Gold warranty (Contract #: ***********) through Carchex, expecting reliable coverage. However, when I needed to file a claim, ******** **** ****** (***), the administrator they assigned, wrongfully denied my valid claim based on incorrect service records that were later corrected by ****** and the repair facility.
    When I reached out to Carchex, they refused to take any responsibility, claiming they are “just the seller.” They market their warranties as peace of mind protection, but when it matters, they do nothing to support their customers.
    This is a fraudulent business practice—selling policies with zero accountability. Do NOT waste your money on Carchex! They will take your payment and leave you stranded when you actually need the coverage. Avoid this company at all costs!
