  I recently completed a long-distance move with Nation Capital Moving. While the company technically fulfilled the contractmy belongings arrived within the delivery window and were mostly undamagedthe experience was more stressful than expected. During the sales process, including an in-home estimate, I was told not to worry about the three-week delivery window because they typically deliver within 37 days. Based on that, my family flew out to help me unpack during the expected window. In reality, my belongings stayed in the origin state for several days and didnt arrive until 11 days after pickupafter my family had already returned home. When I asked why my shipment hadnt been loaded, I received a polite message reiterating the contract terms, with no acknowledgment of prior verbal assurances or any apology. The *** who promised a receipt didn't answer my calls. I eventually got the documentation after texting someone else, who responded quicklywithout addressing why Id been **************** day brought more friction. The company subcontracted the final leg. The subcontractor initially tried to charge me a second long carry fee, despite my quote being final and already including one for the original address. The delivery address is also near an elevator. That was eventually cleared up with a call. The subcontractor didnt know Venmo was accepted, despite my showing proof and prior confirmation. They wouldnt unload until the company verbally confirmed receipt.Positively, the pickup team was fast, courteous, and efficient. I had requested partial packing, and they handled the remaining items quickly. However, some large items werent fully wrapped, and even boxes marked fragile arrived visibly battered. Although my mattress was wrapped in plastic, there were visible water droplets on the exterior. Fortunately, it wasnt damaged, but it added to my concerns. The move met contractual terms, but the experience was more taxing than it should have been.

  Everything was great all around. We had a ton of items for donation and trash and the came and picked it up without charging a dime! Our moving day was also great the guys were very respectful and accommodating! I would absolutely use them again!!

  National capital movers were exception! They brought in a big crew and moved (and packed a great deal of items were hadn’t gotten to yet). They did everything under the anticipated schedule and on top of that they hauled away a ton of junk and made an extra stop to our storage unit to clear it out - and all at no extra charge. They were also extremely patient with me as I asked to move several pieces of furniture to different places in the house so I could assess where I liked it best. These guys were just so professional, expedient yet careful not to damage a thing, and were very reasonably priced. Highly recommend this team - you definitely won’t regret it.

  I wish I could give more than 5 stars. 10 stars!! Nation Capital Movers is OUTSTANDING! Scheduling was easy, the price was fair and the crew was excellent. They took great care packing and moving my belongings. Everyone was polite and communicative. I would absolutely hire them again and so should you!

From the initial quote to the final box being placed in my new home, their team was professional, punctual, and incredibly efficient. The movers handled all of my belongings with great care, and nothing was damaged during the move. They were friendly, respectful, and worked quickly without cutting corners. The pricing was fair and transparent, with no hidden fees. I truly felt like I was in good hands throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Nation Capital Movers to anyone looking for a smooth and stress-free move!

  Extremely professional, swift, and efficient. I have moved twice in two years with this company and had no issues. Be sure to box everything up beforehand. Great for basic furniture moves. The movers were able to disassemble and reassemble furniture as well.

  We moved in May from ********. The National Capital Movers stored our boxes and delivered them to ** in February. It took us some time to unpack as we were waiting for new furniture. We have come to find out that a lawn sculpture was not delivered. It cost about $900 and the insurance company offered us about $20. We finally unpacked and, much to our dismay, found that at least 8 oil paintings and prints were not delivered. I called the company and they said they couldn't find them. Our boxes were picked up, brought to their storage, and then months later, delivered to our house. As all these paintings are missing, the company either lost them (I can't figure out how) or someone took them. I would not recommend this company, and if you use them, make sure you know the value of every item and take out a lot of insurance.

  *************************, and the entire crew were amazing. The price was very affordable compared to other companies. Communication was excellent. The crew took great care of our belongings from packing out to delivery. A 15K lb out of state move went seamlessly. Thank you! Would highly recommend!

  We had a very professional experience with Nation Capital Movers, from start to finish. They packed and unpacked our belongings with care and made our long distance move easier. Would highly recommend them.
