Purchased vehicle on 3/02/22 paid in full and was given 30 day warranty on engine and transmission parts and labor. Per phone conversation, drove to business on 3/07/22 complaining of strange engine and start up noise that sounded like a buzzer. I was asking to get vehicle checked out and repaired by them. I was told by the salesman and associates of the dealership that the car appears fine and they will not be checking the car or honoring the warranty. I took the car into a different reputable dealership and had a mechanic check the car and there is an engine problem that will get worse if parts are not replaced. On 3/08/22 I called South street auto sales and informed them of this and that VVTI gear needed replacement. Again was denied warranty coverage. Made couple more pleas only to get hung up on. I would like a refund of $1,529.00 to cover the repair cost as noted on Toyota's invoice since South street auto sales is no longer willing to be of any service.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/11) */ case number 36187513 ****** External Inbox Eric ******** <****@southstreetautos.com> 10:21 AM (2 hours ago) to me On 03/03/22 the customer called and told me that the vehicle we sold her, a 2010 toyota rav 4 with 60k miles had developed a major leak, i advised her to check her fluids and to make an appointment with our service dept. She then called our service dept and began to demand that we look at the vehicle that day while she waited and became irate. I much mention that this customer has been very difficult to deal with from the onset. She then called me back and I told her to bring the vehicle in . She brought the vehicle in and i personally tried to find this major leak she spoke of. The vehicle was completely dry and all fluids were completely full so absolutely nothing was leaking. I asked her if she had run the air conditioning because people often mistake water that drips from the ac for a fluid leak. She became angry and stated that she didn't even know how to run the ac. I must also state that our service dept goes through the cars before a sale and any major leak would have been found. She then stated the engine was making a noise, started the vehicle, said hear that? Needless to say there wasn't any noise. We would be glad to have our service dept look at the vehicle but she would have to make an appointment and drop the car off, at this point we would not be offering any loaner cars because of her erratic behavior and we don't want her on the premises aside from dropping the vehicle off thanks eric ******** Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/03/20) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Too late to change mind and bring in for their service department. The car is being worked on. They can offer to pay most of cost fixing engine issue replacement VVTI gear or will have to escalate. They told me they don't fix leaks and will never allow my car to get looked at by their service because they felt nothing was wrong. It appears they knew car had engine problem and did not want to pay for replacement or labor because of high price. They didn't think I was difficult or erratic when they were taking my full cash payment. They also sold me the car under false pretense. Car has been in an accident before and sold it as no accidents. Two bodyshops confirmed doors have been replaced and painted. see pics of bad paint job and stickers been painted over. If you read their reviews many have complained of engine dying after the month warranty is over and that's where mine was headed if I didn't take care of it right away.
