It has been 12 days since propane was ordered and paid for but we still have not received the propane. Thompson Gas delivered to a customer that lives 5 miles from us, why could they not deliver ours on the same trip? We called Friday the 19th and we told that we were scheduled for delivery on Sunday 21st but then we called on the 21st and was told we're not scheduled for Sunday! We told that she would "try to move us up the list"! We locked our price in back in the summer so it seems the customers that are paying the higher price amount are the ones being served before the customers locked into the lower rate. Why is it we are out of gas but customers that paid $125 additional charge and living 5 miles away from us were delivered propane and we were not? This company does not deserve even a one star rating! Why did they wait until a severe cold weather event to realize they don't have a plan!? Why do they not service areas instead of a list that keeps being revised and changed? Management knew a week ahead of time that severe weather was coming but did nothing to prepare for it. Now they have numerous people, some elderly, scared, out of gas and cold. Thanks Thompson Gas for your inferior service and management.Review from Adam F

Absolutely ******* useless *****. Have my kids shivering at home. Need to make a Request for gas when your tank is 100% full, because you might just get a delivery once it's empty. **** this company.Review from Kendra J

Received a termination of services letter due to a managers personal vendetta against my family. Letter dated for 12/28/23 but not put in the mail until 1/4/24. Which is ironic being I ordered gas on 1/2. No doubts the manager falsified the date on my termination letter. Sent an email to people of the company which conveniently no one received. My delivery order that was put in was also deleted. Sent another email from a different email to all the same people as the initial email. Someone emailed that they would call me but because I said I was recording the call she didn't call nor did she let me know she wasn't calling until I sent another email. This company definitely has something to hide.Review from Clyde H

First I go to get a quote on installation. I like the number and proceed with their service which I've done nothing but regret. They install my tank and send a ridiculously high bill from the initial quote. I go to their location to ask what happened. They tell me they will speak to the manager. I hear nothing for about 6 weeks. No email, letter, or call. The price gets adjusted but its still significantly higher than the first quote and by the time they notify me, they added a late fee. Which I had to argue to have removed because they never contacted me about the new bill. Fast forward 6 months and I'm smelling propane. I know it was a leak from the tank and my tank was empty. They send one of their clowns to come look at it and he says it's because I'm out of propane and proceeds to write me a bill. I said it's leaking at the tank to which he checked a second time and sure enough there was a leak on their initial installation. So now a tank that generally last me 9 months lasted me 6. They said they would compensate me for their error. By my math 6 is ? of nine. By their math that's 10 gallons. Completely disgusting with their incompetence I tell the manager I'm done with them and tell them to take their tank off my property. I asked how much do you think you're going to charge me for that? His reply was you will not be charged for the removal. From the time I got my 80 gallon drop to the time they pick it up I used 20 gallons. With their bullshit 10 free gallons I used 10 gallons. And what do I owe when it's all said and done? 180 some odd dollars. They gave me a 47 dollar credit on 60 gallons and charged almost 90 bucks to collect the tank. Nothing but deception, manipulation and incompetence.Review from Jon S

An amazing company to work with. The customer service reps that answer the phone are knowledgeable and have always made recommendations based on my needs. Their new system that they have in my area has saved me so much pain and heart ache that I have had in the past with other propane companies. It is also nice to have a local office that is open when I have time to go by in person. My other propane company closed their doors and are entirely too hard to get a hold of! This company is gouging it's customers and charging way to much for it's propane. Before they quoted me a price for my next year usage of propane, they stated that they didn't know how much propane prices would be. They are shysters, preying on the public. They have a customer review rating of one. Do not trust them to handle your propane needs. We are switching to another company, alerting the Better Business Bureau, and warning potential customers that they are not to be trusted. I will contact their parent company, and let them know why we are leaving these shysters.Review from Sandy R

I started using them for my camper. They estimated $85 a month, which was about what I was spending on the smaller tanks. After a few months at that rate they increased my bill to $210.00! They gave me no time to gather the funds, no 30 day time to adjust my budget! the email said I would get time but that did not happen. I work full time and barely use the propane. Winter for heat and a little bit of cooking. I didn't even complain that they charged me for a tank of propane that was full when it came to me. Other people have had the same complaints in my community but it seems all the propane companies have no soul. Not a care or a shred of humanity. In ending I thought an increase of that size warranted a little attention to what this company is doing to people.Review from Larry J

First propane tank (other than the BBQ) so working in the dark. Called many places - most won't sell a tank but want to rent a tank with a minimum monthly purchase or in lieu, a surcharge. Since it is for an emergency generator (that we sincerely hope we never use) we finally bought a tank through ******. We then called Thompson Gas for a fill. The receptionist was polite and took my information a scheduled us for a safety inspection for a new installation. Route sales and technician Chris called came by a few days later. I'm a bi older and I remember how it used to be. The appearance of employees represented the company. Chris was neat, clean, if you will. He was an adverting picture for the company. He was polite, articulate and knowledgeable; an asset for the company to be sure. He approved the installation as far as we had done and schedule a fill. he final connections will not be made until the generator is installed in a week or so and Chris will drop by to make a final safety check. I am thoroughly satisfied with my experience with Thompson Gas and recommend them to any one in need of propane services. Larry A*******Review from Christ H

A terrible customer services experience. The woman who makes the phone calls to customers is rude and condescending. She will not transfer you to a manager and instead says everyone's on their lunch break at 3pm in the afternoon. What a joke of a company. Avoid and change providers, its the only way these type predatory businesses will ever get the message. Beyond terrible and rude.
