- Additional Info:In January of 2022, BBB received scam tracker report alleging that consumer encountered pop up alert about a computer virus, was promted to call Microsoft/Shelby Corp for assistance, and asked to mail a check payment to Trend Technology in MD.
On 01/27/2022 BBB initiated an investigation to research these allegations further.
Over the course of the investigation, BBB found consumer scam reports online that describe similar concerns.
BBB determined that Trend Technology claims to operate from a residential property. The trade name registration for the business indicates that the business provides "web design web hosting and digital marketing services" , - not tech support or cyber security.
On May 3, 2022 BBB of Greater Maryland requested for the business provide a written response to a series of clarifying questions about the consumer allegations, the business ownership, quality control efforts, marketing efforts, and the overall business model.
As of 05/18/2022 BBB has received no response to the clarifying questions posed.
Based on these concerns, BBB is unable to verify the legitimacy of this business.
