July 14th I parked at *********** in ********* across from **********. I got out of my car and walked across the street to ***********. I saw a sign on the door that said to not park at *********** so I turned around to go back to my car. I was gone maybe a minute and the guy already had my car on the lift thing. I explained to him what happen and I also explained that after playa bowls I was also planning to be a paying customer at ***********. He said it didnt matter if I was intending to purchase at that establishment because I didnt go into *********** first. I also didnt see any signage other than the normal unauthorised parking will be towed signs. And as I far as I knew I was authorised as I was buying from that establishment. the signs that were there never said I had to walk into *********** immediately after I got out of my car just that I had to be a paying customer which I was intending to be. I then was charged $137 to get my car released. I do not believe this is fair as there was no proper signage, I was an intended paying customer, and my common knowledge led me to believe I was in authorised parking. I believe that I should be reimbursed as this was an a completely unethical situation. I also found the law that if I was improperly towed that it is illegal to charge me a drop fee which your employee did do, and this was an improper tow as Ive explained above. I called back July 15th around noon and tried having a conversation and the lady on the phone was very aggressive and rude, she hung up on me mid conversation. I called the city of ********* wondering what to do for my next steps they said to call back. I call backed around 6pm and spoke with someone different. I tried explaining my situation but he yelled over me and then hung up the phone again.

This company engages in unfair, predatory towing practices. They tow cars from parking lots that are public and do not have any parking restriction signs posted. They charge $220 for car release when Massachusetts law states they cannot charge any more than $132 for involuntary towing. They only accept cash and do not offer receipts so there is no paper trail.
