    I hired College Hunks for a move scheduled on 6/17/25 and made a down payment of $99.I received a confirmation the day before stating the arrival time between 9-10. No one ever showed up and I called the corporate customer service number who said would reach out to the Worcester franchise. I even called the Worcester franchise directly, but the phone kept going to voicemail and no-one returned my call. I called the corporate number again and was told that there was nothing they could do. I rented a very expensive moving truck for the day and time at great expense. The move was supposed to be from MA to ** and now my plans are ruined and there has been NO communication. Terrible, unprofessional and dishonest business.

    On June 6th, this company took $99 as a deposit for a move scheduled for June 14th. I was promised there would be a truck and 2 men for the day to help move. They gave me an hourly quote which I agreed to. On June 13th, they sent me a text message confirming the appointment for the next day between 8am and 9am. On June 14th, the movers did not show up. I called several times and just got a voicemail. I called their corporate office and they said they don't give refunds on deposits.

    They took $99.00 from my debit card for an advance payment of moving my stuf but never show up to do it at the appointed time which is 2.00pm to 4.00pm and they called me at 5.30 pm and said can't do it so they going refund my money Since then they refused to pick up my calls since 04/29/2025

    The workers that came to remove my sofa and loveseat. They quoted my husband and myself 219$$$. They brought the sofa and loveseat downstairs. When they came back up they said the furniture is stackable so we'll only charge 149$$. They then brought down all the cushions, when they came back up they requoted us for 369$$$. The mover had such a strong odor of alcohol, it smelled in my home for about half hour. Now, when my husband asked them why did the quotes keep changing. You came up here and told us it was stackable so 149$$, because they don't get paid hourly so it didn't matter. My husband was only inquiring about how it went from 219$, to 149$, and finally 369$$. The mover cursed at my husband, I don't ********* what you heard. His fingers pointing in my husband's face not more than 3,4". From his face. Threatened both of us because he said again," ************************. ILL TBROW YOUR FURNITURE IN THE STREET.*************!! I reported this driver to the business with no response. I have video of this occurrence as I always video strangers coming into my home. As soon as they realized.my phone was recording all this, their attitudes totally changed. I'm so sorry I disrespected you in your home, I'm sorry I Threatened you. I also have video of him stating the reason for only charging 149$$. He completely lied, and I have proof. My husband paid the 219 because by this time I was actually afraid of what they would do so I told my husband please pay them, I'm in fear.

    This complaint was resolved and a refund $149 was hand delivered on the morning of 8/18/2023.  We question the customer's account of the events as we have never had a complaint of this nature and is completely out of line for this company, especially the accusation that an employee would drive drunk.  We would not be in business long if we let our drivers drink on the job.  Also, it is completely inaccurate for the customer to have said they have no response from the company.  We issued a complete refund, hand delivered within a day of the incident.  Upon receiving the refund, the customer signed a release acknowledging that the matter was resolved.
