0n 9/3/23, I contracted DAIVDE N********* ** ******* DBA: NEW PALACE SERVICES INC., to build a deck and connect it to our new pool. Our contract was for $8K which represented labor only since I had purchased the materials. The main requirement and the #1 item on our contract was that the deck would be built according to MA Building Code Regulations. When the inspector came to approve the 1st phase of the job, he requested that Mr. N********* would dig next to the footings so he could make sure his work met building code requirements. Mr. N********* immediately told me that the work was not going to pass inspection, became very agitated and refused to dig next to each footing. We never saw him again. I had to pay someone else to dig; just to find out that the footings were not meeting building code requirements. Some of the footings were 2 ft; 2 1/2 ft; 3 ft. Footings have to be 4 ft each. The frame was another unsafe mess that was not built up to code regulations either. The town inspector failed Mr. N*********'s unsafe work and requested that Mr. N*********'s work - the frame and footings - had to be torn down and reconstructed again in order to move forward with the project. Luckily, Mr. N********* had not cashed my first payment of $2,000.00 and I was able to put a stop payment. Mr. Nascimento's unethical and unprofessional actions and practices resulted in additional expenses for me since I had to pay someone else to dig next to each footing. I had to pay the new contractor to torn down the frame, along with the "footings" and I had to buy additional lumber and other materials that he wasted building an unsafe deck that did not pass inspection. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MR. DAIVDE N********* ** ******* OR NEW PALACE SERVICES, INC., FOR ANY TYPE OF JOB. DO NOT ENGAGE IN BUSINESS WITH THIS INDIVIDUAL OR HIS COMPANY; YOU'LL REGRET IT! SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND THE AGGRAVATION OF DEALING WITH SOMEONE SO DISHONEST WHO WANTS TO SCAMS HIS CUSTOMERS.
