On September 5th 2024 a charge of $956.01 AUD appeared in my bank statement. This is for website SEO optimisation. My issue is they know I dont want the service, this year or last year. They didnt send any email notices of a subscription about to renew. The website doesnt exist anymore. They are providing a service for nothing. In short, they state I have an ongoing subscription. I tried to get a refund last year and this was refused. I thought the issue was done and I wasn't aware the subscription was ongoing. So, perhaps, technically I have made a mistake in not canceling. To my point no notification was emailed, they clearly know I don't want the service (emails can be provided) and most importantly the website they are providing the service for no longer even exists. They are providing a service they know i don't want for a website that doesn't exist.I have emailed politely stating the above and they say it's my mistake and they won't refund. Again I acknowledge that I most likely should have canceled and would have if i was truly aware of this. They appear to be hiding behind the fine print while they know i don't want the service and there isn't even a website for the service to be provided. I fail to see how i need to pay for a service that can't be used on a technicality that they didn't even send an email reminder of.

      Business Response

      Date: 09/19/2024

      Good afternoon,
Here is the response that was sent to the customer at the email indicated:

I was forwarded your submission to the BBB regarding you were charged for website / SEO Optimization.

We have processed a full refund of the amount you were charged.

Cancels are made in the system, so if it was not logged as a cancel in the system, the annual contract will auto renew.   We have also taken action to turn this off so there will be no further renewals.

If you could kindly help with 3 things:

Can you please forward an example of the communication that you sent last year, so I can see where it was sent?
In your BBB note you state that the website does not exist.  I do see an active site at ************************************   Was there a different site?
Given that our refund was your desired settlement, please advise if you can remove your comment from BBB.

      Thank you!
