    re: Mcgovern GMC Service experience I had my car fail right on Rte 9 and coasted into your dealership - Serpentine belt snapped..Asked for the service department to repair. . **** called and verbally estimated me $378 for the repair, I agreed and said that seemed VERY high price. he said he would look at it and when he had the parts price confirmed he would send a qte. The qte was for $332. I thought that was VERY high, googled the price of the part-$15 at Autozone....as high as $28 at other parts stores. I called the service manager back and asked why so high? he said parts were expensive $162 and they were probably sourced from the ****** dealer---I found ****** sells the part at $54 MSRP. They also added a $27.50 disposal charge for the belt!I told him I was looking at a new Terrain and would not consider Mcgovern for the purchase of any vehicle in the future and that I would pay the bill and thanked him for taking advantage of me! When I got there I the bill had been changed to $247; no call or explanation price still more than double the average total repair price of @$100 for this type of repair....a simple belt replacement.
