I built a house and hired quality stair treads to install the hardwood floor. First we met and we picked out the pre finish floor that me and the wife picked out. We asked to go with 1/2 to make the cost less effective. The floor we picked out was **** a sq ft. He sent me a quote that was $27,000 i asked him if this was included labor and he told me and my wife to our face yes. So we hired the company.. we talk to *****.. so paid ******************* this was after he sent me a text 3 months before install to meet up with him to give him cash so we save money on tax weekend. Now i hired his company and at the end of the job he sent another company to my house to install the hardwood floor at the end of the install he sent me another price for $12,756.13. I called him and he said you have to pay the guy that installed the wood i said what! i already paid you. So the company came to my house and sat out front in my driveway and said i am not leaving until i get paid. I felt very threatened and felt i had to pay this man. So I ended up paying him to avoiding an altercation. So i ended up getting scammed by ***** the owner and ended up paying about $40,000 for hardwood floor. If you look at reviews it seems this is not the first time and this is what he does to people. I found another home owner that he did work for and they had nothing but problems with the install with no communication skills to resolve it.. i believe ***** the owner should be investigated for fraud on scamming people on believing there paying for labor then hiring a different company to do the install then having that company ask for the money.. this is not right. I have a on going lawyer working on this right now and agrees there is a big case but wanted this to get out there before other people get scammed on what he is doing.
