I purchase a 2014 Chevy Silverado on 6/7/2023 for $23,194. Upon returning home and registering the vehicle, it failed the *** inspection. Per the warranty, the vehicle was returned to Baron auto for repairs (leaking fuel pump, leaking ac condenser, bad fuel injector, etc.) based on the diagnostics run by a local ***** dealer and agreed to by Baron. Once returned, it failed inspection again (2nd time) and the ***** dealer made repairs to the some of same issues that were allegedly fixed by Baron Auto (bad fuel injectors - which were never initially fixed per the mechanics at the ***** dealer). In order to clear the check engine codes, the vehicle needed to be driven for 100 miles. The truck continued to experience issues and failed a third time - it appeared that the fuel pump was never actually fixed either. Per the warranty, this was the 3rd failure. Baron refused to authorize further work on the vehicle and are in clear violation of the warranty. The truck has been now basically unusable since the day I purchased it in on 6/7/23 and it is 7/25/23. Baron has acknowledged several time that they need to refund my fully based on the warranty but are not longer returning my calls or text messages. This is my sons vehicle for college this fall and I'm running out of time to get this resolved. Because the truck is in my name, they need to purchase the vehicle back from me. I have sent them the bill of sale, which is what the bank (because there is a lien on it) instructed me to do. They need to pay the bank and pay me the difference to ensure that amount of $23,194 is paid in full. I unfortunately lost out on the amount I had to pay in *********. Ideally, I would like to recoup that, as well, since they knowingly sold me a lemon. Again, the salesperson, Jeff R has repeatedly agreed to this for weeks but NO action has been taken. And now no responses are happening to my texts and calls.

We, Baron Auto, sold a 14 Chevrolet Silverado (VIN-*****************) on 6/7/2023.  After the customer returned home, she called us to let us know that the car failed inspection.  She brought it to **************** and we paid $363.80 on June 12, 2023 for  two inspections and for them to determine what was needed to fix the car.  She didn't want to bring the truck back here for us to fix, so we had to pick it up in ** and bring it back here at our expense.  We completed all the work that she wanted us to do.  The bill is attached. We then drove the car back to **.  A couple days later, she called us back and said that the check engine light was on.  We told her to bring the car back and we will fix it.  She refused.  Again she took the car to ****************.  When discussing the problems with the mechanic at ********* they estimated $500-$600 to fix it.  We agreed at that price because they guaranteed that they would fix it.  On 6/30/2023, we got the bill from ******** for $1,605.69.  We asked the customer to pay some of that cost and she refused-we then had to pay the entire amount.  A couple days later she called us back and said the check engine light was on again-********* (her mechanic that we didn't want to do the work in the first place) did not fix the problem.  At this point in time she is refusing to return the truck to us or give us the title and allow us to pay off the car.  She needs to sign a bill of sale saying she is selling the car back to us and she doesn't want to do that either.  We want to pay off the loan and refund the money owed minus the repair work that did not fix the problem.  We should have been able to fix the car with our mechanics.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have provided copies of text messages and copies of receipts  as well as a copy of the bill of sale sent to Baron Auto authorizing the return of the truck. They never acknowledged the bill of sale to facilitate this. When they did the initial repair work, the work was verified by ******************* that It was never actually done and Baron provided no documentation other than a receipt for parts, which is why the same issue continued to persist. I was told several times by Jeff R via text  that the owner would call me from Baron and that never happened. I was told they would refund me for the purchase of the truck(see text messages previously provided) and that did not happen  -I provided a bill of sale, previously sent to BBB & Baron and that did not happen. Had that happened, I would not have had to contact the BBB!  Baron provided no response and the truck has been unusable since the date of purchase on 6/8,  I have since had to replace the fuel pump which is one of the items Baron theoretically fixed but has prevented the truck from passing inspection 3 times at a cost of @$1900.

Baron has been deceitful just as they are in the response to BBB. Please refer to the text message exchanges for confirmation!

At this point, I will pursue recovery of the expense of the fuel pump replacement.

    Sincerely,

    *********************

Used truck purchase in January 2023, front passenger seatbelt had a large tear in it, which I made Bill aware of through a text message the day after he delivered. For 4 months I have gotten the run around and still no remedy. I have even offered to install a new(or used) unit myself if he purchased and shipped one to me, that has yet to happen. I am now being forced to purchase one myself as I will be starting to put my oldest child in the front seat very soon.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 05/23/2023

I have asked for a replacement seatbelt to be shipped directly to me and I will install it myself with no further action required by the dealership.

That request has not been fulfilled.

i have been the only party to initiate contact throughout this entire ordeal which leads me to believe they are not interested in remedying the situation.

    Customer Answer

I want a fully functioning safe seatbelt for the passengers in my truck.

I am open to ANY of the following 3 options in this particular order:

1 Send a technician to my house or place of work to replace the seatbelt at no cost to me or time commitment on my part.

2 Send me a replacement seatbelt ( fabric color not important) that I will install myself

3 Issue me a check for approximately $760 that covers the cost to have the seatbelt replaced at **************.

    Date: 06/30/2023

Owner ***************************** informed BBB that he had authorized his staff to order a replacement seatbelt, and ship it to the consumer.
