I have consigned with this shop H333434**35**31343735H since 2010 with over 90 items and have had no problem until now. In reconciling my account in mid Oct. as to what has been returned and what has been sold with checks received I noted that my (6) antique Bavarian fruit plates consigned as #** & #** in April 2021 were neither returned nor a check for the selling price was received. I called to make an inquiry. I spoke with *****, explained the situation and was assured he would look into it and return my call. No response. About a week to 10 days later I called again and spoke with a woman who was unaware of the situation. I explained again about my missing plates and was promised a return call. This same scenario happened a third time. Several days later on Nov 10 I made the same inquiry but this time I was told that the plates had been sold and that someone had called me and spoke to me about the check for the sale. Supposedly I replied that "my son would pick up the check" and they don&#**;t have it. This is preposterous for two reasons: The conversation did not take place at least with me and there is no rationale that I would have suggested my son who has lived in Oklahoma for over 25 years and has not visited NE since 2007 would remotely be available to pick up the check. When I explained this to the owner she completely dismissed my rationale of the situation because "I am confused". I was also met with resistance when I asked her to research the check, if and when it had been cashed and whose name is on it because it is not mine. I am appalled and affronted by such callous treatment. This is an obvious mistake by the shop which should be immediately rectified by issuing me payment for my plates.
