    I had an appointment for today, 11/28, at Illume Skin Spa. Yesterday I tested positive for COVID. I called yesterday, more than 24 hrs in advance, to cancel. I left a message & didn't hear back from anyone. I called today to make sure my message was received & the charged me a $40 cancelation fee. I asked politely if this could be waved due to testing positive for ******** was told no. I am doing my due diligence as a responsible member of society to not infect their staff. I am a business owner myself in the service ********* have a cancellation policy as well. I would NEVER charge someone for canceling due to having ********* am absolutely appalled that this is how they do business. I have canceled all my further appointments. I was so excited to try their facility & this is extremely disappointing. COVID isn't a ******** don't appreciate how I was treated.

    Worst customer service and a total scam! I called to make an appointment and they said that they are booking out a week even though the website clearly shows that there is availability all afternoon. Then, I get a call saying that someone is available at 3PM but that the area that I purchased would cover about the size of a quarter which is fine but that it had to be the exact specific location. If I moved the quarter space back (same exact size), I now had to pay for a medium size service. Absolutely ridiculous! Waste of my time! I purchased this through Groupon. They are refusing to pay me my money back since the time for a refund passed and Illume is unable to do the service.

    Hello, *****. You are correct, we were fully booked, but our technician was kind enough to try to squeeze you in for a same day appointment, which you clearly took the wrong way. We also explained to you that we were having some technical problems with the synchronization of our schedule to the booking website, which you seemed to understand at first. Now, answering your actual complaint: The problem we had was that you wanted to do an area that was not covered under the "treatment areas" listed. The areas are based of the number of shots that the laser machine uses. You purchased sessions to do your cheeks, but when booking you explained that you wanted to do a different area which would require more shots, making it a medium size area. We already went over this when you called, so I don't understand where your confusion is coming from. Lastly, like you mentioned, you bought this service through a third party, not directly with the spa, so for any refunds you'd have to contact said third party. I believe this is very simple to understand, specially since we've explained this to you multiple times now. We are more than happy to provide the service for the area which you purchased, but if you want to do something more expensive, it will obviously cost more money.
