When my husband and I considered a bike tour with Duvine, we asked only three questions. One: Can you handle my Celiac disease so I'll have gluten-free foods? They assured me that gluten-free was "easy" and I would have no problem getting gluten-free foods. Very few gluten-free foods were offered and I had to purchase my own food. For example, they offered me a chocolate chip cookie for breakfast. For lunch, they said they made a pasta salad and then could not assure me which salad was gluten free and did not even offer gluten-free crackers or bread with the cheese for lunch. One lunch contained gluten and I got very sick. Most of the meals, I just purchased my own foods at local groceries......even though Duvine said they could not find gluten-free foods at local markets in Washington state, an area that caters to a gluten-free diet. I found 12 different types of gluten-free crackers at a store they said they could not find any gluten-free crackers. Two: Can we be sure to get e-Bikes. Yes, they said. However, the bikes were an additional $300 per bike, which we did pay. It turns out the bikes held their charge for only half a day and had other problems. Three: Why is Duvine so much more expensive than other bike tour companies that I've worked with? They responded that their hotel accommodations were superior to other companies. Also their restaurants and alcohol were superior to other companies. This was a blatantly untrue statement. The accommodations were less than average. I was also placed in a room that allowed pets without any prior knowledge. When I inquired, no other accommodations were available. Duvine did not warn me that animals would be in a room that I would sleep in. This caused me to have an asthma attack.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us your feedback. We are happy that we have had the chance to talk in person since and further address these issues in detail. We are sorry that you feel that the gluten free options provided were not up to your standards and we will continue to work with our suppliers and guides to further improve our offerings. As for the ebike; the high usage on this specific tour (due to elevation) can drain the battery and we are in the process of refunding you the $600 supplement since the bikes did not perform 100%. Lastly, had we known that you had a dog allergy we would have made sure to allocate you a different room. Unfortunately the hotel was sold out so there was no way to make that change at time of check in. Again, we thank you for your feedback and we will continue to always strive for improvement.
